Every new LOD is deeply retraced back up. Choppy or just a clean and slow trend lower...?

My initial stops in this environment are usually points, but I try to avoid taking a full hit. I then like to give the trade some room to breathe before adjusting the stop. Often, that means locking in a profit and working behind price. Generally, I find that B/E stops works great when the...

Target? Your mind is greater if you kept your initial stop. I may have played this one too tight. Could easily have taken off 10 points, but wanted to hold for a greater move. I remain bearish here helow 2505.

And stopped out for a point. Watch us sell of now. :) Could possibly have stayed with a 3 point stop, but this morning have been very choppy and it makes me doubt my initial hypothesis.

1 point locked in. May be too tight, but shouldn't retrace that far if we sell off, IMO.

I'm a seller at 2506. Targeting at least 2480 if the LOD does not hold.

Triangulating. Dips are bought and highs are sold. My initial statistical analysis says we're going to sell off. But you get the hunch it can just as easily pop from here too.

As of now - we're set to open with a small gap down. Main scenario would be that we trade up towards 2516 - 2523 and sell off from there. If no resistance there and we blast through yesterday's High - I'm thinking all is set for a decent up day with an upside target of say 2600. That's plan...

    ### in 3 minutes. Regardless - for today, I'm looking at a sell on the day. May not be a dramatic day, but should close lower than yesterday for sure.

    $2,000 to $200,000 in 2020 at 2.00% per day.

Sounds good. I hate those. Dug myself out of a hole today and ended the day in green. Barely. Seems like you have your game plan down pat. Way to go! :)

    $2,000 to $200,000 in 2020 at 2.00% per day.

How do you (historically) deal with losing days? Do you size down? Are you able to 'archive' them quickly and trade with a blank slate the next day? You're still fat on profits, so hopefully, it shouldn't affect you poorly. But I know from my own trading that learning how to deal with those...

Trade Performance by Weekday - What's your data?

Anyone who's ever done any statistical work on the indices knows there are weekday biases. So I don't find it odd that this could translate into trading results too. I'm not really interested in solving anything per se. I was only curious if anyone else had looked into this and found anything...

How so? Were you sloppy on some days...?

Define soon. 3 weeks? 3 months? A recovery to ATHs need a few things to happen. May need only one of them: 1) The world economy needs to start moving again, i.e., this shutdown needs to end or at least a clearly defined future date for when that will happen and at what rate. Too much...

Keyword being 'may'. We already took out the HOD from yesterday, so who knows. I do favour a new HOD from here myself though.

Trade Performance by Weekday - What's your data?

Lately, I've had my worst days on Thursdays for some reason. Even though I had a strong long bias prior to the Open today - I still managed to take a few hits on longs (too tights or too wide stops) and had to fight myself back to the green barely breaking even on the day.

Trade Performance by Weekday - What's your data?

Hi all, Curious if you ever checked your results/statistics sorted by weekday. Any patterns...? Not long ago I read one of the Wizards books by Schwager. There's an interview with Mark D. Cook. Interesting fellow, by the way. He had long term data which clearly showed that Friday was his...
