Just wore out... anyone using Trading services for trades?

No, trading is *not* hard. Not hard at all. It's clickety-click easy. And you *know* this. And it bothers THE HELL out of you that for something so easy to do, it is so hard to do *well*. But there's another contradiction, too -- that you also know well: taking a "trade" from a service is so...

    how did thus loss happen

Nope. No help here. :( -831.94 = -4.10 -274,752.84 +273,925.00 The $4.10 has a source. (Comm.s) The +$273,925.00 has a source (the ES at SELL transaction time) The -274,752.84 is a mystery; it is not from the market. As it's in the Basis column, you've got a legitimate question. :wtf: Let...

any way to participate in the nasdaq intraday cross?

Not sure what you're wishing to trade, but if you can get it on a QuoteMonitor page and then create a contract (whether native or not), you can graph it, trade it, etc.

Trading near an important level (OMXS30 Stockholm)

Results-wise, ATR is equivalent to a volatility measure that can work on extremely short candles. (If you plot IV or HV, you can tune the ATR to match rises and falls -- rather instructive.) The ADX is not more for strength-of-trend, not a Go/NoGo for trading. (A Go/NoGo would depend on the...

Trading near an important level (OMXS30 Stockholm)

Two things for you: ATR and ADX/DMIs. ATR will show you the "true range" of pricing swing for any given candle. For the OMXS30, you'll need to take it back for a bit to find what a "typical day" or "typical minute" looks like. When you get that level (say, 5pts/minute) and the market is...

What broker and trading platform allows you to easily see individual lots purchases on different sto

As an economist, I can tell you, it don' mattah a'tall. Whether you're thinking about iron ore, rail miles, labor inputs -- or entering or exiting a trade: wise decisions are made at the margin, not the average. (This would be, like, Rule #2 of All Things Econ -- right after...

Statistics - Missing Link between Technical Analysis and Algorithmic Trading by Manish Jalan

Who the hell said it was *missing*?!?!? (HA! I just breezed through it (it's an hour long!) and it looks pretty good! I'll watch it later, even if it is preaching to the choir  Thanks for posting.)

What broker and trading platform allows you to easily see individual lots purchases on different sto

Nobody. While we might attempt it and find it insightful on various/individual *investments*, it would quickly balloon to unmanageable size with even the smallest amount of actual trading.

Why don't you do a full quote so the folks at home can see what you're about. You said, T/A sucks; no one can make money. I said, "Two words: algorithmic trading." You said otherwise, but stroll in here to declare yourself a 7yr vet in his *own* venture, not counting the experience from whence...

    Hiring a cofounder

Again, though, I'll bet you that the persons who've posted to this thread, and that many other ET regulars, are doing pretty much *this* -- you'd be *paying* them to do what they're doing anyway. I don't know of too many people who'd argue with that. :D

M-- I am sensing a continuing Cart&Horse problem here, in that you do not yet have a profitable template in place, but wish the operating/admin around it first. And you're willing to pay! A marvelous thing! ("Sign me up!") But if you don't have a product/service/process ready (to generate...

Dog of the Dow - GE

When they started to crash, I thought, "Buy any GE below $18" just on reputation alone. But when things got more involved, I looked a little at their fundamentals, and was not happy -- I remember a p/e that I thought was way too high for a company so large but NOT on any bleeding edge. A price...

Technical Indicator to stay out of choppy range

I went 3 years as a tick-scalper. I called it "milling money." Conditions changed, and (slowly, painfully, reluctantly) I changed with them, but my heart and my head is still as a tick-scalper. And in selling option positions, I use a bunch of those scalping skills entering/exiting every trade...
