    When will all crypto collapse?

I was one of the first to trade the newest Ether futures on CME (Micros I think they were?). I just wished they also allowed Options on Futures. But that seems reserved for the bigger sizes for the institutions.

    Mr. Wonderful's (other) FTX

Markets got scared finally today. I set a block order for WonderFi, but didn't get a fill at 20-cents. She touched down to a penny spread then went back up. I guess I missed out for being a penny-cheap-skate there. Hopefully, a lot more red will come again.

    What are you presently reading?

A Random Walk Down Wall Street By Burton Malkiel This is a re-read, having read it the first time back in August of 2020 I believe. I must have been utterly clueless at the time (or bad memory now), because I wouldn't have remembered so after going through the audiobook again. In any case, it's...

    Mr. Wonderful's (other) FTX

Ahh, here we go. A clip that Daymond John probably wishes would stay in the closet now. For good.

    Mr. Wonderful's (other) FTX

I was actually wondering about that earlier this week. All those TV investors on Shark Tank do nothing but lose everything when off-set. O'Leary has been in one crypto disaster to the next. We'll exclude his other disasters for the moment, including his own failed company he pawned off during...

    When will all crypto collapse?

I'm still following my old mantra... when there is blood in the streets. Quite happy to watch the re-play of Lehman/Bear Stearns all over again. Been a long time waiting for this... Those who wish to bow-out now are free to do so! :sneaky:

Don’t regulate crypto, allow it to implode, says Brandeis Professor Stephen Cecchetti

My issue is that your opinion is to remove lending and leverage for everyone else, just because you personally seem to have a problem with that.

Don’t regulate crypto, allow it to implode, says Brandeis Professor Stephen Cecchetti

Who are you to say this... a dictator? DeFi is supposed to be land of the free. So what if it's volatile? It's FREE to be volatile. If someone doesn't like that, they can go elsewhere... If someone is an 'idiot' and keeps their coins on an exchange, when YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO KEEP IN YOUR OWN...

Don’t regulate crypto, allow it to implode, says Brandeis Professor Stephen Cecchetti

The more it is regulated, the further you turn it into CeFi, which is basically the opposite direction as was intended from day #1... the whole point was to get away from FIAT bank bail-outs and regs... and dollar debasement, etc.

    When will all crypto collapse?

Yes, part of that was due to the non-separated relation between the two. With both price-fixing, front-running, fraud, and UNLIMITED MARGIN. Quite an explosive powder-keg waiting to go off... It works until it doesn't. Just like the guy who shorts far OOTM puts for pennies on expiration...

    When will all crypto collapse?

Unfortunately, no, this is not a correct assumption. Crypto 'blew up' because it is a new asset class. It was not institutions who came in early, but the retailers. Interest rates had literally nothing to do with the retail investors. Commodities like gold/silver, etc. have been around for...

Genesis Suspending Client Withdrawals for Lending Arm Citing 'FTX Impact'

FTT is still over 99 cents a coin. Seems there are still a few stubborn bag-holders praying for a takeover of FTX. I've also heard today on podcasts from even those who've been very bearish on Sol are now waiting for it to fall another leg down, then will attempt to collect some. Let's see...

    Mr. Wonderful's (other) FTX

I have been taking a look at WonderFi, which looks a lot to be the Canadian version of FTX. This is another crypto based company which Kevin O'leary seems to be the front-man for, and talks about doing his due-dilligence, etc. In fact, during their last earnings call, I watched him talk for...

Genesis Suspending Client Withdrawals for Lending Arm Citing 'FTX Impact'

This doesn't make sense. Particularly since most crypto-miners are in the hands of just a few and very centralized.

FTX collapse was not a liquidity crisis

He paid big $ of stolen funds to pay the Democrats for his 'get out of jail free' card. Let's see if they honor the agreement now. Apparently, they say he was a 'really nice guy' if you were lucky enough to have met him.

Genesis Suspending Client Withdrawals for Lending Arm Citing 'FTX Impact'

There is truth to this... The only MOAT that BTC has, is name-brand recognition. It's the oldest lasting and was the official first-mover into the scene. Though, there have been various other 'crypto' attempts before this, they fizzled and burned, and essentially were centralized...
