    Fas/faz - 5/18

I guess I'm kind of a naive trader; I try not to think too much about the trade. I have a couple of simple setups that I use that give me low risk entries. I let them run and trail a stop. If it gets near a round number like 10.00 I either close out or scale out.

    Fas/faz - 5/18

Out of FAS for 9.98. That was a 2R trade, so not too bad.

    Fas/faz - 5/18

FAS/FAZ are great day trading vehicles. The NR7 setup I took only had a $0.16 risk (high-low on the setup bar). MFE is about 2R so far.

    Fas/faz - 5/18

LOL "ARCA Stocks starting with the letters D through F are currently unavailable for trading due to technical problems at the exchange." Guess that includes FAS/FAZ huh.

    Long FAS 9.65, tight stop @ 9.49. Based on NR7 15 minute 1030 bar

    Health insurance

If you belong to a professional society of any sort, check with them. I'm an enginerd and belong to IEEE. They have every kind of insurance coverage imaginable. I have life and supplemental disability through them since these were the best deals I could find. I still have a day j.o.b. so I...

    shorting on IB

Do you have the little green/red indicator column enabled on your TWS? If so you'd see if there are shares available for shorting in an instant. By default your orders are day orders, unless you overrode this. If your order to short wasn't filled, it'd be canceled at day's end.

My second inside bar trade was a winner so I was a wash for the day. Ugh.

Watch the uptrend line off the 3 hour. It's right around 3500.

    Fas/faz - 5/11

I took a FAZ long on the 0945 inside bar but was stopped out. Took a much better-looking FAZ inside bar long at 1045 which is working out. Why keep pounding long on FAZ? Because my bias is long as long as price stays above yesterdays close. I was hesitant to take the 0945 inside bar...

    AUD/USD

I don't "do" Elliott Wave much, but it sure looks like the possible start of a wave 5 up on AUD/USD. On the hourly chart the last week's price action has the form of an ABC correction making up the longer term wave 4. The first target would be in the 7800 neighborhood. I'm not predicting...

direct statistical trading a "clearly" defined approach by NTW31

I've heard the same and am pondering switching myself. IB is an ECN but their minimum trade size is a tad rich for my risk management. I hear that MB Trading is a better Forex ECN for "pikers" like myself.

    Fas/faz - 5/11

This is where I think the SEC is totally nuts. Trading stocks actually gives the trader *better* control over risk. After all, you can trade as little as 1 share of stock and the risk to your account is negligible if the trade goes against you. You can size it arbitrarily small in general...

    Fas/faz - 5/11

Current volume on FAZ is 221% of average. Current volume on FAS is 92% of average.

The attempted break below 3550 was a fake. Luckily I wasn't around to take it.

Here is a question to ponder

I did a stint in the rural southern US and saw this very thing. Southern Baptists would only do business with each other. Not to mention screwing each other over, which I saw too. LOL They had this phone book they published called "The Christian Yellow Pages". This of course showed their...
