The Big Takeover -The global economic crisis isn't about money - it's about power

I was gonna say. Sad times when you're getting financial/economic news from a hippie rag.

    Fidelity

These posts show up periodically where someone gets terminated by their broker. I've seen some at Oanda and there was one recently from someone terminated by IB. People rail against brokers like it's "us versus them" when the fact is that brokers are enforcing SEC and exchange rules. The IB...

Where do all the newbies come from ?

With more unemployed people out there, wouldn't there be more people thinking of alternatives to traditional employment?

    My Forex Box Trades

Are you placing your stops based on swing highs/lows, volatility or just a fixed pip amount?

    My Forex Box Trades

Your first post was a little ambiguous. Do you *only* take the trades where price has retraced to the 50 EMA? The first statement implies you take all short red/black crosses when price is below the 50 EMA. The second says you wait for the retracement.

    My Forex Box Trades

Sounds just like this guy's setup only without the Andrew's Pitchfork. 50 EMA, Stoch 8,3,3 He uses the pitchfork to determine trend direction, only taking trades that way.

    short selling stocks

Long and short are the same as far as the mechanics of entering/exiting trades is concerned. IB locates shares for shorting. They have a column on the TWS that shows a color for short availability. red = can't short, dark green=hard to short, bright green = shortable. Remember that when...

Actually, options expiration week offers some unique opportunities for day trading options. Because gamma is so high, you can buy OTM options very cheap and if the stock moves your way you can make money pretty quickly. If it doesn't move, or moves against you, you're only out your net debit...

    Guru Dennis Bolze missing

In the aftermath of a mess like this, there are a lot of people feeling stupid, angry, used, duped and embarrassed. Many of the victims will even lash out at each other in their grief. What a mess when so many people had their finances and/or reputations damaged.

Tell Me About Washington D.C., Virginia & Surrounding Area If You Live There

The traffic around DC/NOVA is absolutely horrendous. The traffic situation around Baltimore isn't as bad. As far as real estate goes, when I relocated to the area 10 years ago I immediately rules out NOVA. Way too expensive for what you go. I ended up in Maryland where I could get some...

    Guru Dennis Bolze missing

Actually in his tradersparadise blog he always exhorted the reader to do his own research with regard to any trading idea. Dennis' ideas were a breath of fresh air for someone struggling and looking for direction. Too bad his blog was filled with non-trading political diatribes. His...
