Amazingly, I haven't seen his "thread" though I've seen his posts in various places. Link please?

direct statistical trading a "clearly" defined approach by NTW31

I had a chance to go through nuke's writings and graphics and make better sense of them. I've pasted an improved data table with commas that can be imported into Excel. I've also attached an Excel file that corresponds to this data. It contains the SLD and LSD calculations with some notes...

Was it a military tactic to overprint your enemy's currency?

So you're saying the US gubment is at war against its own people?

Let me make sure I understand what that data table was a few posts back. The first line in the table labeled #21 is the most recent bar in time? The other 2 numbers after each bar # are (open price - low price) and (high price - open price)? I imported your data into Excel and tried to...

direct statistical trading a "clearly" defined approach by NTW31

So just to clarify, if you weren't a Mac dood, your preferred method would be to run an MT4 broker's screen alongside Oanda's to do the maths? Last I checked, the spreads for EUR/USD on IBFX were 2 pips and 1.5 pips on Oanda and interactivebrokers. Oanda's spreads haven't been all that...

direct statistical trading a "clearly" defined approach by NTW31

That brings up my next questions. I noticed you're using the same broker as I am (Oanda). Oanda doesn't have cheap/convenient access to their price data, so how do you run your stats? You referred to MT4 just now. I suppose you could run the stats on another broker's platform that's...

    The Next Big Thing

I don't know if the OP's link to his "next big thing" is legit, but still I've been anticipating a new paradigm changing technological innovation. That got me thinking: What if we developed a cheap, clean plentiful energy source in the next 10 years? I know it's a stretch to achieve all 3...

    SEC $25k minimum

I'm just a regular dude that trades anything where the price moves around.

    SEC $25k minimum

All of this arcane, byzantine crap (i.e. PDT rules, 3 day settlement, short sale restrictions on some issues) apply mostly to stocks and bonds. With futures, you can go long or short, day in and day out with no PDT rules, no $25K minimum, no settlement period, no nuttin'. Food for thought.

Best method for graphing multileg positions?

After communicating with Optionetics customer service a few months ago, I did not get the impression that this was an option. Thank you for the corrective haiku.

Best method for graphing multileg positions?

Last I checked, you can't get the full-up Platinum unless you're an Optionetics student. Instead you get the "Express" version for the same price a student pays for the real version. Another suggestion: open an account at thinkorswim (TOS). Their platform has a very nice multi-leg risk...
