i sold a 1265 weekly put just now for 18 because i see 1250-1252 as next area of support. i am short one contract as hedge for longer term portfolio. check out SPX monthly chart. that green trend line brings us down to 1200 but it may take a few weeks to get there. right in line with Greek...

sometimes protecting a good month is the right thing to do and sometimes not. you probably already know this given your experience but don't beat yourself up. plenty of good trading ahead. i feel another 2008/2009 type market is in the cards and this is only the beginning.
