    adbe long

Of course there is that yet-to-be-filled gap at 28, which is conveniently located at the same level as the 200 day sma. And yesterday was an NR4/IB day which should provide an intraday opportunity also.

    ES: patterns & rockets

Good luck with your trading 1c'. I absolutely do not mean to be negative here, but I have yet to see one person stick to their plan because they go public with it in a journal. I truly hope you are the first of many to come. Edit: T&S is Time and Sales, or affectionately known as the tape.

    divergence in 1min charts

Although I am unsure about the accuracy of the description provided for the reasons divergence appears, I disagree with the rest of the post, except about using an indicator as a standalone. Velocity... or speed, is the rate of change over time. Velocity as it refers to price then, is the...

    Dual Monitor Problem, Please Help

I have a Metrox dual head. The following worked for me. Try opening an application, move it to the desired monitor, then close it. From then on it should open on the desired monitor.

    Daytrading Breakouts in the ES

Longshot if you would delete the useless garbage I have sent you over the last 6 months maybe a guy could send some more useless garbage to you. Maybe I should ask Baron to give you a larger mailbox. :)

    Anybody Else Hate Quote.com

I have very simple needs too and for this reason the downtimes and slow data are just that... annoying. But as we have discussed on other threads, the charting is second to none. Scalp ES with it... no way. They don't even have the right opening tick on the minute charts yet. But for other stuff...

    swing trading vs day trading

Very good point shorty, I see what you are saying re: the lower priced stocks. And, you elucidated my point better than I did - my thinking is that given any percentage swing, say 10%, and applied to all stocks, the higher priced stock then swings a greater number of points, and as such...

Wanted: 19" monitors, South Florida area

Ted last time I checked BestBuy was really "giving" away the MAG 19" models new.

    swing trading vs day trading

For one thing, intraday you might trade against the swing trade, ie., a short intraday trend and you are long the stock. Two accts will allow you to do that seamlessly.

    How do I compete "They"?

There are plenty of traders who succeed despite the presence of "they". And there are plenty who do not succeed. The types of things you speak of happen to everyone in this business. In fact, all business is wrought with unforeseeable (sp), perhaps unfair disadvantages occasionally. But that is...

Is creating a watchlist for tomorrow worth it???

I posted this the other day about TA and news and I still fall prey to the same thing sometimes F_T. Looking into the future, thinking about what ifs, allowing my feelings to infiltrate the trade stinks. But when I look at charts and look back at patterns and divergences etc., I never one time...

Is creating a watchlist for tomorrow worth it???

Fast_Trader it sounds like you are doing just fine. Is there anything wrong with making a watchlist and then not using it? Only if it takes away from time with your family. Good luck!

    swing trading vs day trading

Here I have to respectfuly disagree. If you are able to carry 3-5 positions with 500 shares swingtrading, then you are in better shape than many, many other traders. And you can make an excellent living doing so. Of importance I think is the price range of the stocks being traded. I don't...

EqtTrdr - from the action of the Dow I would think that the McOsc might have signalled a McClose. Your verification would help, but I will look on the links you provided earlier. Thanks and good luck tomorrow.

Is creating a watchlist for tomorrow worth it???

I don't think there is a better exercise in this business that you can do when the market is closed than looking at charts. Curiously, do you end up daytrading the same set of stocks usually, despite the watchlist? Also, do you go back and review your thoughts about the previous night's list...

reg... you know as well as I do that would be extremely poor money management. We shouldn't be in a position where an adverse move will kill us.

Chartpatterns.com is an excellent site as Breakout said, for classic Edwards and Magee stuff. Also litwick.com for candles, go to Indicator Glossary on the left hand side of the page.

    swing trading vs day trading

Length of trade is probably the best answer I can give. I use pullback entry sometimes which is the premise of swingtrading. But I am looking on a longer than 2-3 day time frame. Not that I won't take profits if a dramatic move occurs (or losses), but my usual trade is from 2-4 weeks long.
