Many threads exist, both currently and less so, that provide a forum for those wishing to provide some sort of guidance to others re: trading. I know that you are familiar with the Keeping It Simple thread and its endeavor to provide guidance. There is no doubt in my mind that one of your goals...

I really don't understand your concern gms. There are some threads going right now, and in the past, especially in the Journals, where members are posting their selections and suggestions. Should we ban this activity? What about the chatroom? The members in there post their trades all day...

There have been many excellent discussions about program trading that you can read using the SEARCH option in the upper right hand corner of this webste. You will find everything from premium and its uses to trading individual issues. Also this site will give you a good background...

I wonder if there is a correlation with dividend yield. My thinking is that a run-up might be the result of good fundies, and good fundies should mean that the dividend will be paid and not cut.

If JWKirkland sees this quote he would disagree. He stated that if the stock is moving, he would and has traded them as low as 40K per day. And he, like you, is as intraday as one can get. Of course, mrmarket is not a daytrader so his perspective is different. I am not a fan of low volume...

You raise a very interesting question gms. I have read those statements from mrmarket's website and interpreted them in the following ways. The first paragraph is just as you said, a disclaimer. Similar disclaimers we all have seen on a number of websites, but two that come to mind...

Then again, big money is not worried about the 'steenths and eighths, and maybe even quarters that this strategy would seem to be a good setup for. They are thinking about whole number gains, not fractions.

LOL! Sometimes I think I might as well be in real estate! I know for many, many of the members the monthly chart is meaningless. But the big money that actually makes the market trend looks at it. And all I want to do is ride the wave. :)
