How much money is considered good enough for trading?

absolutely.... but....... lol, you are complicating things beyond all imagination.... I guess that is a trader for you. It doesn't matter :D Trade for fun, trade because you love it, don't need all this pointless discussion. Beyond all of this, 100 shares, you lose less than if you...

How much money is considered good enough for trading?

Well trading AAPL, AMGN, NEM and such, it is easily possible. I like the faster moving stocks though.... Don't see why not??? For example, Red Ink Inc. trades about 3500 shares per trade, and I'd say he might average around $2,000 on a daily basis. 5 - 10 trades of 100 shares per trade...

How much money is considered good enough for trading?

Trading in the Zone... I'm normally recommending that to newbies... lol, I'm saying for him, but sugar coating replies doesn't help anyone. It requires hard work, and I have dedicated myself and am only starting to realize what I need to do and the book helped me. Irrationally, I'd say...

How much money is considered good enough for trading?

Not a very smart question to ask to be honest... because everyone will have a different answer. First off.... to even be making money would be nice for a lot of ET members currently not making money. I'm included. I'd say averaging $50-100 a day trading 100 shares/1 contract would be...

    Help!!

Books.... lots of books.... Software... lots of software. Expensive, it's going to be very expensive, your education in trading could quite possibly be the most expensive thing in your life right now, and I'm not talking about money only. Do you actually have the time and effort as well...

Why do We Make Trading so Difficult?

If you are trading Equities, why not just set up a watchlist and if you miss opprotunities on one stock, just move on to the other instead of just waiting for something on one specific stock... seems like a wiser thing to do. If you are trading Futures, well, then I guess that could be a problem.

    Forex charting question

Actually, there is this amazing program called SnagIt. You can select parts of the screen you want to take a "print screen" of and you can print it out and manipulate it if you like add text and such. Definately like it.

Trade Vision Capital - www.tradevisioncapital.com is where I am at. They will negotiate for your needs. Sure there are other options, but you should give them an e-mail and see, they go through Genesis Securities and use the Laser platform.

    Questions

Go for something else, for the things you listed you wanted, just seesms like trading will not be your deal, because it will be a painful experience and with your success at a great school and all, I don't think it will transfer well into trading. If you really have gotten out of this great...

Why do We Make Trading so Difficult?

You want to know why we make trading so difficult? Because WE MAKE IT THAT WAY. *At least that is how I understand it from reading Trading in the Zone.* The question is, how do we change ourselves to make it easier. Hehe, the first way is to actually read that book, because it helped me...

Official DD thread - Big Dow

eSignal FINALLY *shocking* updated the platform for DD. I must say it looks pitiful. On a 30 minute chart it looks "okay", but shocked at seeing this. less than 600 contracts traded I believe I read on the website today. I'm still just shocked because how excited everyone on the...

    If Not Scottrade, Then Who?

I'm curious if you have any examples? I have reasons for not like eTrade, reasons for not liking Ameritrade, reasons for not liking FXCM, reasons for not liking IB, reasons for not liking Alaron Trading even. If there is one complaint I could offer with my experience with Genesis, it is...

    If Not Scottrade, Then Who?

Genesis Securities.... Funny how everyone sticks to the "big boys" and gets screwed on support, and you can't negotiate with Interactive brokers for your own specific needs, they won't have any of that. *Although MB seems like a good alternative, did seem like they have good support*...
