    Pictures of your trading stations

We actually had those stands that you have for your CRT back in highschool. Those things certainly did suck. They were new, and then 2 years later, almost all of them were destroyed in the classroom. One time the platform snapped and the monitor fell right onto the desk, right on top of my...

    Input from intraday traders

Well I grew my 100,000 sim account by 5k, so I think that covers all my tuition for "The House of Market Pain" when I first started. So all is good so far. I should go buy an ice cream cone to reward myself, I think i'll skip on the Xbox 360.

    Pictures of your trading stations

My computer is on 24/7 unless I go on vacation. Also about the dust, I have a compressed air can *which I need to buy more of* that I spray around a lot. My computer just seems to be the ultimate dust magnet. One time I went without 4 months of dusting it, there was an insane amount of dust...

    Input from intraday traders

Also about trading styles. I have talked to a few traders VIA Pm, most say they try to have a back-up trading style, or market they trade incase one goes horribly wrong. For example, I'm day-trading, but also got a simulator account open for swing-trading or longer term holding. Having...

    Input from intraday traders

Options are not used for day-trading. Day-traders mianly use Equities, Futures, or Forex. Options are mainly used for hedging, or speculation on a longer timeframe. So unless you bought and sold options in the same day, which doesn't seem to make too much sense. I don't know. I...

    Genesis Securities, Pros and Cons

I trade prop with a firm that deals with Genesis Securites. I love them. Never experienced a problem or software issue, and if there is ever an issue they inform you VIA built in chat but never usually big issues because of so many order routing options. Should not be an issue for any human...

    Ameritrade Streamer, is it buggy?

Ameritrade Streamer..... ehh, My second brokerage was, and still is with them. I do have an account with them still. Streamer is okay. The charts suck in my opinion. I have never had a problem with streamer though. It seems okay, I just never have traded with them because of the...

Is TradeStation as "buggy" as QuoteTracker?

Maybe it would be very helpful if you point out some of the things that are wrong with the product, or any of the bugs instead of just posting opinions. Give us facts, what is wrong with the product, and what are the bugs, that way jmedved can take it to the dev team and get it fixed. I...

Since posting links to prop firm is not allowed (Or because BT is a sponsor)

Which in case that is censorship which has been getting on my nerves lately with ET, and I'm still not proud of the PM's I got about posting reference to prop firms. Why is there not a "Prop Firms" section created for the site, seperate from Brokers. That will solve all the issues and I...

Best Car for Newly Hired Trader

Do you think those would be street legal, with no restrictions? Not sure how that would work though with those types of vehicles. They said the one I posted goes up to 50, the USA Today said 80 mph. It will be interesting. I just hope I could fit, I'm 6'3", and got very long legs.

    NYC Prop Firms

Just start slow, starting with equities is wise IMO. Trade 100 shares and make sure they will allow you to trade a way you want to. Not doing "rebate trading" or any of that other crap. Make sure they train you well and can ask the mentor question and use that to your advantage. Not many...
