Japanese Day Trader Makes $34 million

Even if JP is safe I'd still keep my mouth shut as an independent trader. You simply do not want your name to be known.

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

Yep. It's just wholesale fucking thievery. If it were institutionals primarily on the other side you can bet your ass all those trades would be broken. What happened on Monday (particularly with "low volatility" ETFs) is direct evidence of how completely broken these markets continue to be...

UK trader arrested for May 2010 U.S. Stock market flash crash

You don't know this. Maybe his mother wanted to work. I highly doubt he wasn't prepared to help the family out given a tight knit family household. Stop believing everything you read in the daily mail. It's garbage.

Hard to trust it now that the AH book is like 175 on each side.

    SGX A50 Index future

Had an interesting situation in this last night. Both the Aug and Sep contracts had about equal volume due to traders transitioning to the next contract. Towards the end of the session PBOC (or someone/something else) stepped in and bought up everything in the sight pushing the Aug contract way...

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

IMO, it's not the freakin' volatility that is making this thing harder to trade than normal - it's the meddling. There was basically probably 3-4 days where we had some organic action - now we're back to the BS.

Waiting to see price dip back down again and then I'll go long. I think we're going to be in this flag like pattern for a bit.

Depth looks a heck of a lot better now compared to yesterday. Last night there was tons of hokey stuff going on - stacking, spoofing, you name it. Couldn't make it 3 minutes without 100 lots jumping in and out of the book (with an average size of maybe 200 per side). Turn those machines back on!!

Saw that too. I never trust those kind of things on a 5m or 15m chart because everyone else sees them and its a great setup to get punked on. Granted, sometimes they work and hold but I'm not confident in where the market actually is right now to take anything. Does seem like it wants 1950 though.

UK trader arrested for May 2010 U.S. Stock market flash crash

If I'm not mistaken at no point did the e-minis flash crash then or even now. ES didn't go to 2$ suddenly. There was obvious hard core selling in futures but at that point it was an irrational stampede for the exits. Arb algos flipping out either on the futures side or equities side really...
