I had a very brief look at tandem trader on underground trader. Hmm seems he was indicted in 2009 for pump and dunp scheme.

One of the first things that should be asked of any vendor trader is to see his p/l statement for at least a year. If he comes back with bs such as he can't show you because it is against some regulations then he is a scam. The only regulations are that any statements must be truthful, not doctored.

Vantagepoint, has that been listed yet?

Well apparently , if I remember correctly, after much hype it was discovered his incredible profit record was based on a demo account. It seems some of the bigger traders in the market , who happened to be ET members, called him out saying they would have noticed the huge size he was allegedly...

Ahh franz shoar. Yes that brings up some great times on elitetrader. Anyone remember the thread where all was revealed (in real time).

Well etoro have a system where people follow any traders they like - all real accounts. They (a broker) make money on every trade , just like any other broker. so why would a broker be unwilling?

The only rule is "don't lose money in the long term". If it works it works. I presume you have some positive expectancy for each trade-

the way to fix some of the problems you mention would be to make it that all systems have to be in real accounts, not demos. But how to make that run on one website might be problematic

Ok so now my main broker is IB. Can i ask interactive brokers to make livevol my introducing broker retroactively,(thenadd some more money to my account to reach the 35000 that is needed to get the platform free.?)

Hi Baron, how about opening a one month or so trading competition for ET members. To keep it real I suggest it must be based on a real account of say 20,000 $ give or take. Just enough so everyone can be sure the trades hurt if they go the wrong way, but not so much that it cuts out too many...

Thanks so much for this comprehensive review! Yes one of the biggest issues for me re BT is the lack of mobility between computers; I wish he had a app for iphone (the TWS one is excellent). I bought a multicharts lifetime license years ago so it is interesting you are using it as well.

so how is buttontrader these days. I am thinking of subscribing again: light or pro version?. Any comments on the strategies?
