    Velocity Futures

Velocity is a very good company. They offer excellent software such as x_trader and ninja trader among others. As far as I know there is no web front end. For that matter the only decent broker, that I know, that offers it for futures is IB.

When 100s of millions are on the line, ethics, friendships even family means almost nothing to the large majority of people. He took advantage of someones else idea, so what? Did anyone got hurt or die? Do you even realize how many people die every day for much much much smaller amount of...

NinjaTrader 6.5 Released with Expanded Brokerage Support!

It depends on how many charts you attach it to. I only have it attached to 1 chart, I trade only one market, and I am am fine, CPU never goes above 30%, and usually stays within 15-20.

NinJa Trader and real time data

Just register for demo account at mirus futures. They provide one of the best feeds called - zen-fire. Even though it is demo, ti is real time and very fast. The best part is the cost of course: Ninja is free for charting and demo trading and so is mirus zen-fire feed. :)

NinjaTrader 6.5 Released with Expanded Brokerage Support!

OnMarketData is not that CPU intensive. OnMarketDepth could be if not used properly. Think about it, it reacts to any change on any bid/ask level. Eurex provides 10 levels for each on DAX futures for example. TGM, Best is to search NT forum and post a question there as well. I...

NinjaTrader 6.5 Released with Expanded Brokerage Support!

I find Ninja to be an excellent product. I have been using 6.5 since beta 4 and the new features are extremely good. As far as ease of use multiple workspaces are very helpful. As far as coding goes, 2 new extremely important events were introduced: OnMarketData and OnMarketDepth...

    futures brokerages amp or velocity?

Both are pretty good. You can not go wrong with either. Velocity's advantage is free X-Trader. Amp's advantage is zen fire feed. You can also look at Mirus , they also offer zen fire. All above are great companies with very good support and solid technologies.

Taking $5K to $250K by year end

Allen, If it does not take too much of your time and you do not mind, I would go with daily. Posting every trade like you did in the beginning was too time consuming, but a daily statement would be a great way to demonstrate this experiment. Regards, redduke

Such low volume on Eurex ?!

They could have done the same, but they did not. Whose fault is it, that they lost money. I did not know about bobl tick reduction. Not that it really matters to me. Globex actually done the same on one of the treasuries, plus they reduced the book visibilty by 5 levels.

Such low volume on Eurex ?!

FESX is a good and very liquid contract, but it does not move enough intra day for my liking, where DAX does, and that is why I trade DAX. As far as switching of the products goes, it has nothing to do with Eurex. I know handful of people who went through several contracts before they found...

No clue since I do not follow bonds.

Such low volume on Eurex ?!

Still not following why it is bullshit. I never traded bonds so that is why I did not mention them. I day trade DAX, and used to trade euro stoxx a while back. I find DAX to be a great contract. So Eurex let SocGen guy buy a lot, do not see why this is such a problem. It could have happened...
