    Day Trading Futures Margins

The account is your account and the responsibility is yours. THe FCM has the right to go after you for all losses. If you want to limit your losses, use an entity like an LLC. You can not rely on the FCM to protect you from losses.

Do you know why you make money in trading?

I was speaking in general. A simple example would be option market making. I started in the business, options had wide spreads and were single listed. Now markets are fragmented with narrow spreads. The vig is gone. I had to move on.

    Option historical testing

I'll let you know if I find something interesting. To be fair Timebend did not just back test simple strategies. I believe it was capable of complex positions with hundreds of strikes.

    Option historical testing

I'll ask around to see if I can find something that fits. I'm sure they are out there. The last time someone asked me to find something for them, the platform was $5000/month and was so expensive to maintain that I think that company dropped the product. It was called Silexx Timebend.

    Option historical testing

You may find that for weekly options on penny pilot stocks or for options to expire in less than two weeks, that the midpoint is close to fair value. Most options are too wide or the midpoint may not be "fair value." Closing prices are typically NBBO bid/ask average. I'm not as confident as you...

    AON for stop market orders?

You would have to ask your broker that question about chopping up the orders. I've never seen that. They might not have an answer for you. What broker do you use and what platform? I assume you have full DMA based on the description.

    AON for stop market orders?

Stop orders for stock trades are held by the platform or broker, not the exchange. Because of Reg NMS, there are no trade thoughts. That means your order, if allowed by the platform/broker, would remain active until the bid is equal to or larger than your sell order at that price. This is a...

    Takeover strategy.

Most companies are not trading with enough value to go private. But it happens. Dell went private last year.

    Takeover strategy.

Company is always owned by the shareholders unless there is a bankruptcy. Debt holders own no ownership. In the example you offered, you would own the company. The board during the buyout would likely have to hire an outside firm to make sure you are paying a fair price for the balance of the...
