Crude is also. The Butterflies a bit further out in the curve have some real opportunity. The prompt month calendar pairs are essentially delta directional with the flat price.

If I could make a suggestion; maybe reply that you require further clarification that the SPAN margin credit would be applied the instant the trade is made. Don't take that for granted. I speak from experience.

Haven't seen this much bullishness since 1999. Most bears have thrown in the towell

So, just to be clear - we have erased the COVID selloff of 2020, for the past five weeks you have posted repeatedly about how the market simply should not rally, the market rallies hard the past six weeks - and then the market corrects one percent and you are declaring vindication? Nervous much?

Here is the BIG question: will AMP apply that margin at the instant you place that trade during the trading session, or on your daily statement? Those are two entirely different circumstances. The problem for my clients was that AMP (and other discount brokers) didn't have the risk systems of...

Haven't seen this much bullishness since 1999. Most bears have thrown in the towell

There is never a "normal" or a "good old days" when it comes to markets. That's a misguided trope and you have been perpetually stuck in a negative feedback loop about what in your mind constitutes market "stability". It's a waste of energy. The market is what the market is.

    Pension Pumpind and Unemployment.

Please provide some empirical evidence that the UK Pension Investment Program is directly correlated to "unemployment fell like a stone" {your words}. I can't seem to find any hard evidence of that. In fact, UK Pension Age Equalization seems to account for better unemployment performance...

Haven't seen this much bullishness since 1999. Most bears have thrown in the towell

US Real Estate didn't take the extreme beat down that Energy Sector Stocks did since February of 2020. Like all things - it's a matter of proportion. As a side note - Warren Buffett earned the wrath of his long standing institutional investors by sitting on a pile of cash during five years of...

Morgan Stanley: This Oil Rally Won't Last

Other sidenotes: Libya is starting up production in its largest oil field, and US Distillate stocks rose faster during the COVID shutdown than they did during the height of the 2008 financial crisis. Commerzbank said that distillate stocks at refineries rose by 43% during the COVID crisis...

Morgan Stanley: This Oil Rally Won't Last

From Oil Price News, June 08, 2020 Oil prices have likely risen too fast too soon with the market focusing on supply cuts, while global oil demand may not return to pre-COVID-19 levels before the end of 2021, according to Morgan Stanley. The oil price rally in recent weeks “appears mostly...

Haven't seen this much bullishness since 1999. Most bears have thrown in the towell

The June report is going to be another ripper. The protests and rallies have made any ongoing COVID lockdowns politically more absurd and tenuous. NYC is starting to let more businesses open.

Is a trading platform good for investing in oil?

I always thought that the USO ETF managers were insane in the membrane for not holding more contracts further out in the curve. The bid/ask is thinner than the prompt month, but they can dink and doink it all day every day because the exchange spread liquidity is there to do it.

Is a trading platform good for investing in oil?

USO is going to have a harder time of it tracking oil. The ETF is running out of investment vehicle options. And the roll slippage is not insignificant.

German official leaks report denouncing Covid 19 ad Global false Alarm

I just don't see a "second" lockdown coming. The smart strategy would be to isolate and quarantine the elderly and those with compromised immune systems in lieu of locking down an entire population and crippling an economy. The death rate for people testing positive for COVID without serious...
