    EURUSD perfect for a beginner

It's all I trade and where most of my profits have come from. Find one pair, learn its moods, then trade it. I've tried "going where the action is" and been burned because I was trading unfamiliar pairs. I'll stick with what I know. Currency pairs are as different in personality and...

    Part Time Jobs for Traders

The receptionists at the YMCA I go to have absolutely nothing to do, yet have access to high speed internet. Seems like a good arrangement, plus you're at the gym.

    Trading the Moon

I never believed in things like lunar cycle effects on human behavior. It just sounded kookie. Thing is, my wife worked in a police lab years ago and the detectives she worked with all claimed that full moons really brought out the nut cases. The cops apparently really dreaded full moon...

    Successful traders for Obama

Man, roger that. It's too bad they seem to need the religious fanatics so much. Makes them entirely unpalatable for me.

    Successful traders for Obama

I'm not religious and I don't like Bush, but he sure got one thing right tonight when he said, "May God bless whoever wins tonight."

If Obama wins Florida, the race is over!

Tomorrow it's a relief rally no matter who wins because the uncertainty is over.

    Backpropagation neural network source code

I got it working with the XOR problem. Also, I found a fairly recent (2006) posting at CodeProject with a similar goal to yours. It also has momentum implemented.

    Middle East Quaking

Good question. Let's face it, nothing we do is without impact on our environment. Suppose that some of the vast desert areas of the Sahara were developed for solar power generation. Areas with a relatively high albedo would not be as reflective any more. Light would be absorbed on black...

    The Male Lesbian Trader

If you were a female transsexual lesbian trapped in a man's body, how would you know?

    Middle East Quaking

Mid-Atlantic US is about 5 kWh/square meter/day. Looks like the UK gets about 3. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Insolation BTW that's the energy actually hitting the earth. Typical solar cells yield a small fraction of that in electrical energy.

    Middle East Quaking

Technological breakthroughs are important, but actually productizing them is another matter. Any new widget or technique has to be reliably and inexpensively reproducible if it's to be mass marketed.

    Backpropagation neural network source code

I built your attached source under MSVC++ 6.0 but had to change your "for (int i=0;..." to "for (i=0;..." and separately declare "int i" at the beginning of one of the functions. It's an annoying MS compiler quirk. I'll try it out using the XOR truth table learning problem.

tightest trading range today in how many months?

Doesn't matter who's elected for volatility to return. The market hates uncertainty more than anything else.

    Backpropagation neural network source code

Well, I thought it was cool anyway. Do you have a working main that uses these classes?

    APS- Automatic Pattern Search

This price pattern discussion reminded me of that oldie-but-goodie "Day Trading With Short Term Price Patterns and Opening Range Breakout" by Toby Crabel. It's actually a really good treatment on how to conbine several unrelated statistical edges to create trading systems. His discussion on...

    Anyone here use THinkorSwim

If you want to trade options, then TOS is the way to go. Otherwise, they really don't have much to offer over other brokers.
