    ES Tick Data

If you use Firefox, just use the FlashGot addon. You can select the part of the page with the desired links and it'll download them all.

    Eur/usd

Damn, why're you trying to call a top? I bought 2 breakouts today and rode 'em all the way up to 1.3000.

Learning to read Price Action with P&F Charting

I've been looking at intraday PnF charts myself, on YM and ES using QuoteTracker. One thing that jumps right out at you is the suggestion of sensible stop placement. PnF charts are really cool. You could either set a stop at 43.25 which is the top of the double bottom pattern, or 42.00...

Forex: why demo trade when you can micro-acct trade?

I trail by hand, watching price action and support/resistance levels. Also, I might sell 1/2 and move the stop to BE, depending on the overall market action.

Forex: why demo trade when you can micro-acct trade?

I've been trading with Oanda for a few years now and singing their praises until the last few months. Things have become pretty unreliable lately. Now I'm looking seriously at GFT and IBFX.

    Speed of Internet Connection

You must mean *day* trading options. I trade options but could do it with dial-up because of my timeframe.

Forex: why demo trade when you can micro-acct trade?

It has the tightest bid/ask spread and it's the one I watch constantly. I won't say I'm "familiar" with this pair per se, but I'm most familiar with it among the other pairs. I've found I can do best by focusing on one vehicle instead of jumping around.

timing in taking profit in spread trade

Yep, I'll second that. Always enter as a spread, always try to get a fill at the mid at first. If you're not getting filled after a few hours, adjust the order a little at a time until you're either filled or you give up. Sometimes the MMs just won't give it up and you have to let it pass.

Forex: why demo trade when you can micro-acct trade?

Nothing. I'm trading forex micro-lots myself. Micro-trading *is* probably better than paper trading since you're at least getting a tasty cookie for your winners and some pain for losers Plus you don't have the option to reset your account. Sooner or later, you've gotta decide you...

Forex: why demo trade when you can micro-acct trade?

Either path can lead you to being a "driving range Arnold Palmer". Micro-lots are real money, but it's still nickle slots/penny ante.

No Country For Old Men/Josh Brolin

Huh. I just finished watching this really, really violent (and good) movie last night. I found out on imdb.com that Josh Brolin is supposedly a day trader. They said he even started the web site marketprobability.com. I just thought it was kind of weird running into a tid-bit like this at...

    Option trading for a newbie

With such a small account, you might consider switching brokers. That $14.95 ticket at OX is a killer. If you're serious about options, look at TOS or IB.

    why scale out

Hmmm. "Scaling in" is definitely something I don't do, at least based on the normal definition. I see it as adding to a losing position. Now, I do like reverse scaling in. i.e. adding to *winning* positions.
