What is PBF's "tent system"? Is it a glorified grid system?

Most of the broker nonsense occurs in Forex. You become a target for other other market participants when you trade larger than anyone on this forum. Even with a low 7 figure account I doubt anyone would care, unless you're trading something super low volume where you're moving the market...

I don't think so. Forex range tends to be too big to effectively average down without running the risk of blowing your account. The increments that you would have to use would be enormous and the position sizes tiny, and because the increments are so big you run the risk of keeping a position...

Three main reasons: 1) there's no emotional involvement in demo trading. Who cares if you lose money? People get nervous when trading real money. 2) some demos don't use realistic fills, so even if you do everything mechanically indentical in a live account, you get worse fills =...

Sold entire position (1173 shares) of SH @ $45.90. Profit: $5,221.55. As of now the only thing that is open is my SPY position. Watch price tank now that I've closed out my short position. lol. There was no real reason I sold it now other than I was happy with locking in $5,000 of...

I hope you're not implying that's what I did. I said a long time ago I was doing only longer term trades now. Plus I'm trading SPY rather than ES.

    went long SPY

Because I cannot predict price, and even if we are in a downtrend, I do not know how much longer it will last. When I tried to be a trend trader I noticed that price had a habit of reversing every time I took a position. If trend trading works for someone then I suggest they continue to do...

    went long SPY

When people take a position "with the trend" or because whatever indicator told them to, they are predicting that price will go in that direction. I have never met a profitable trend follower who can QUANTIFY how to define a trend. Sure it's easy to look at price now and say "oh yeah...

    went long SPY

I have been buying SPY for the last few months. I am currently long over 5,000 shares. My next buy point is 105. My SPY position is currently against me over $77,000. With realized profit from hedges and dividends I am +$7,000, and my current open hedge is around $7,000, so the total...

Put in a stop order to sell my entire SH position (1173 shares) at $44.90 which will be $4,055.55 before commission. SH is currently at 46.91 but I want to lock in at least $4,000. The next buy will occur if SPY hits $105 at which point I will begin buying SSO since it's cheaper per share...
