Make sure the person posts calls live in real time or ahead of time and doesn't give you excuses or vague nonsense if you ask a specific question. Following this advice will rule out 99% of people right away. Also have a list at all the scam vendors listed in this thread...

I'm surprised trendline crew hasn't started saying that I "drew the trendline incorrectly." I think they will wait and only say that if price comes back down and goes through the trendline. If price continues to go up they will say "you drew that one correctly." :D

That sounds like a good plan, but can you elaborate on that a little? How much interaction do brokers really have with their clients? Aren't most trades placed online now anyway? In years of trading I've never called my broker to place a trade.
