Indeed - the run-up prior to the close was all ALGOS. 4:30 pm open has been straight down......LOL. So the late afternoon move up was all "fake". More Chicago shenanigans.

Stop usually around 10 ticks....but strictly visual when set. Target is discretionary....based on momentum indicators....PVO and SMI.

Hourly ? That is long-term IMHO. I'm at 200 ticks....much clearer trends with that level. I also have 5 minute charts to determine overbot and oversold conditions.

Not a good day for the shorts. Perfect 5 waves up since 9:30 open. The buy-on-the-dippers are back for sure. Every pullback has been bot.

What are you talking about ? There was a heckuva move up at 11:45 am followed by a swoon down. Then another significant move up at 3:35 pm.

There was indeed a dead-cat bounce from ES 2834 to 2860 at the end of the day.

ES down 70+ points. What about the chances of some late day short-covering ?

Highly likely.....the Fed wants to remain independent. Plus the market has regained more than 50% of recent losses....so no sympathy there.....plus tariffs delayed....so no help there. Nothing supports a rate cut right now. That could change of course. Powell might suggest 25 basis points in...
