    Automated Trading Software

That's exactly what happened. Bill Cruz had a decision at one point to fix all of the bugs in TS2000i and release it as Service Pack 6. He enlisted a consultant to estimate this effort....which came in at 1 man-year of effort. It never happened (of course).

    Automated Trading Software

Well, thanks much....I'll get to that later. Knowing the incredible amount of time it takes to develop in C/C++, I have to ask you this: WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS ? Are you trying to recreate Tradestation's platform for instance ? My estimate is that platform originally was about a million...

Problem with Ninja is that it is still primitive compared to Tradestation and Multicharts and you must learn Dot-Net C# to be able to program your strategies.

    help setting up excel

Sorry about that. I keep thinking of Excel for sending orders as well. It's interesting: both IQFeed and TT require additional outlays to do order entry.....while reading the data via RTD or DDE is included. IB of course includes everything for free.

    Velocity Futures Question

    Why $147 Oil.....Maybe Some Answers

Didn't you hear ? The spike was due to the olympics where China went to maximum oil use to reduce the smog and pollution normally caused by coal. They're back to coal now.

The only way I'd vote for him was if he honestly said he doesn't have the answer.

Where to go after writing a winning strategy

You would think some prop firms would be strong here...but WHAT A JOKE THEY ARE. For example Assent has an API for Anvil with ONE GUY SUPPORTING IT, no developers forum, no blog, no formal documentation, just a bunch of sample code. Note: if that ONE GUY gets hit by a train, then there would...

Rick Santelli Strikes Again - Takedown of Steve Liesman

Yeah, but that is too close to make a definitive call. Never been a fan of Liesman..... Santelli rocks as far as free market theory goes.

    Excel and Genesis

Here's the deal: they have a 5 year old piece of software written using COM or COM+. I had it working very well with Excel. Unfortunately it was not stable....it would crash randomly during the day.....but always in the same offset of the main DLL that was running. I showed it to Genesis tech...

Does anyone know the C++ Laser API (Genesis)

They may have a rejection threshhold price delta built into their API....just a thought. A good question would be: does the Genesis front-end behave in a similar fashion ?
