Yes. I am overall bullish, but had reason to believe we could see the main leg down today. That didn't materialize and at this point it seems very unlikely we'll get any kind of selling today. Will probably print 3300 by the close today.

Shorted 3288 (poor fill). 1,5 point stop. Rationale: Gap filled. R10. FBO. NQ Divergence. + Other stuff. Feels like stepping in front of a freight train, but it's worth a 1,50 point risk. Targeting new lows on the day - but need to see some follow through fast. Edit: And hit by the freight...

Got another sell signal at 86,50. Let's see if we finally can get some follow through. EDIT/UPDATE: Shorted 85,75 with a 2 points stop. It's risky with the open gap above as the intention may be to fill that before reversing, but I'm getting sell signals and NQ is confirming with divergence...

The 1 tick FBO at the HOD was a great short entry. But no love for the shorts in this market. LOL.

    Ridiculous.

The gap fill at 88,50 appears to be in play. Currently flat and stalking a short entry for today. Maybe around 3289.

Expecting most of the action on the short side today. Looking to sell a push above 3288,75 (Y Day High) if it fails. May not get even that. Let's see... :) Good luck, traders.

    Markets are impossible to predict

It's certainly not a 50 % wager. The markets are technical and full of non-random patterns - hence why it's possible to predict. But in order to predict, you need actual data. A lot of people don't have that. Thus, they're just guessing or using their 'intuition'. I've been doing this for...

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

Weekly prediction: So, we just had a Monday making ATHs and closing at top of the range. Nice. Historically, this pretty much guarantees a weekly positive close (above 3265,75) for the week. Could see a dip from here, but most likely we printed the week low today and should see the week high...

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

Care to share? The way I see it - there are people way smarter than me who actually understand fundamental analysis who claims the markets are overvalued and have been so for a long time now. Yet, in the face of that - the markets just keep inching higher. Thus, I'm not betting against this...

    Markets are impossible to predict

Posted prior to the Open today: "Anticipating a gap fill at or toward 65,75. If we find support there or sooner - I'll be looking to enter long for a move back up towards Friday's high at 83." Actual low today was 68,00 and the actual high was 88. Markets are impossible to predict. ES...

Why not? Even if shit hits the fan eventually - I don't get why it have to be now or even this year.

No. Forget the concept 'overbought'. 3300 next.

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

The market loves round numbers and it loves new highs - 3300 coming up. Some statistical data including today as the last day/week: a. 21 of the 40 last trading days made all time highs. b. 25 of the 40 last trading days closed higher than it opened. c. 27 of the 40 last trading days closed...

Very unlikely we'll sell off today anyway and certainly not down to 68,50. Generally, with this type of trading day - the odds of that are well below 10 %.

    Maintaining Self Discipline

Not sure how much progress you made since the initial post, but I can tell you that it's absolutely crucial that you define very clearly what your signals are. In addition - these signals should have a positive expectancy through your backtesting and knowing them like the back of your hand...

How To Divide a 4K Monitor Into Multiple Virtual Monitors

Does anyone know a software which does this for Ninjatrader? My Dell Display Manager with Easy Arrange does not respect NT windows.

No follow through on this push lower. More likely we make new highs from here at this point. IMO. Chop chop.

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

I think it's likely that the HOD is in for today and that we pull back to 76 or so from here. My best guess for the rest of the day. Bullish for the remainder of the week though and it feels risky to bet against this market even for a pullback.

R10 and overnight high here. Possible we'll see a pullback here at 78, but too risky to short for me. Primarily looking to get back in long if we get a pullback.
