For anyone who's interested here's some reading. I found and bookmarked these doing some homework on interest rates & market correlation, just thought I'd share: "Market Timing Does Work - Evidence from the NYSE" http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/fac/soc/wbs/research/wfri/wpaperseries/wf05-236.pdf...

S&P 500 very close to intermediate term top

Hmmm On the 15th, SPY closed @ 150.57. The low on Thursday, the 24th was 150.74. I.e. anybody following your amazing call by going short ES, SPY or any other equivalent instrument was likely never ever in the green, not a single cent

    Homebuilders breaking out.

I don think it actually is (unless we are talking about pure bull market periods where you can buy anything and make money), it'd be like saying world-class professional horseback riding is harder than formula one driving at the same professional competitive level. It's just a different...

DAX Future in the evening hours

It looks like there's some automated guys arbing it against ES during those hours. Could be wrong though, it's just my impression looking at time/sales.

    If you could live anywhere

I was thinking about Spain myself. That was before I moved to a country with barely anybody speaking English and myself speaking none of the local language. Really blows. I can get by for a while and just employ people that speak English but I won't won't exposure myself to this language...

    If you could live anywhere

Sorry I found Gozo to be a congested, noisy, polluted, dog-shit-all-over-the-place city. It was a couple of years ago but I doubt it changed much. There's just no space and you just can't compare the cleanliness of a Mediterranean spot to e.g. the North of Europe like Copenhagen, Stockholm or...

    If you could live anywhere

That's true, I shouldn't generalize the entirety of South America into one homogeneous mass. I am sure there are pockets of western standards of life. But let me ask from the other point of view: Why choose Costa Rica or Panama when you can choose Australia or New Zealand (let's imagine...

    If you could live anywhere

Please do not misinterpret my statements into an attempt to question the country's beauty. I have no doubt Costa Rica and other countries (Thailand, South Africa) are among the most beautiful in the entire world. I just don't feel getting "used to" a few things I listed in my above post. I know...

    If you could live anywhere

I don't mean to offend anyone. I already live in a garbage country (Eastern Europe) and can't wait to get out of here. I've lived in the US and different countries all over Europe and all I can say is that nothing below a G10 country (or comparable) can keep up with the quality of life there...

Buy Buy Buy Buy Buy Right Now!!

You're wasting your time explaining the obvious to these guys. They are praying for the market to tank because they hope that everybody here on the board will blow out their account when that happens and they will come out on top with their "told you it's the top" non-sense. That's why they...

    If you could live anywhere

Do you speak Spanish though? Gibraltar, Malta and Cyprus are the only areas that I can think of with decent climate and people speaking "some" English. Portugal or Spain are probably nice but I don't speak a word of Spanish or Portuguese.

    If you could live anywhere

To be honest... I have gone through a lot of country options. Weighing all factors (taxes, climate, education (for kids), lifestyle, crime/safety, cost of quality/seafront real estate, language (English)) I think NZ and AU come out on top. - Carribean: Nice taxes e.g. on Bahamas but insanely...

Cramer: One of the greatest bull markets of all time

"The only exception: If it can get a buyout." I love that. What can not be bought out these days? You see both the biggest companies and also the crappiest companies with the weakest financials taken private or bought out these days lol

    If you could live anywhere

Some inspiration for some of you looking for real estate prices around the world: http://www.luxuryrealestate.com I find that NZ and AU are a _LOT_ cheaper than FL or CA in the US. Dirt cheap almost in comparison, even with the weak USD. Shows just how much the US real estate prices have...

What's the best area in AU for that kinda lifestyle? All I ever hear about - as an outsider - is Brisbane and Gold Coast.
