Fed will aggressively dial back its monthly bond buying, sees three rate hikes next year

I haven't had any US exposure this year. I am identifying some stocks that I may like on a dip ( eg Visa, Google, Amazon ) and watch stocks like Pay Pal that could do well in certain situations. I advised someone at various points to consider ABBV, JPM; I'm not really following the more...

Fed will aggressively dial back its monthly bond buying, sees three rate hikes next year

I'm not a buy and hold investor. What I'm recommending to you will likely make good money in 2022. I did extremely well in 2021. If you are waiting for a correction because short side guys on here said one was coming, what I'd say is more then half the market and numerous international markets...

Trading today's Fed.... the Powell reaction trade

What are you are missing here is that his track record on many ( not all ) of his trading ideas are poor since April 2020. This is due to an extreme negative bias about markets and a stubbornness leading to revenge trading for over a year. Not scaling up on poor ideas is actually smart. His...

Fed will aggressively dial back its monthly bond buying, sees three rate hikes next year

It won't help your trading to believe this. Markets are up on huge earnings growth which is only indirectly related to anything the Fed is doing. The US Fed is "propping up" the economy until Covid no longer matters. That dynamic is getting slowly rolled back now. Best thing to do is invest in...

Fed will aggressively dial back its monthly bond buying, sees three rate hikes next year

Are you proposing Japan's model for the economy ? A nation of savers ? Hell, even they have been trying to create inflation for decades. Suddenly it's a bad thing after a few months of success ? Canada is at 4.8% oh no my life is over however will I survive this inflation ( oh wait a second, I...

Fed will aggressively dial back its monthly bond buying, sees three rate hikes next year

And why are you 'containing' inflation ? What's the damage at this point ? A good chunk of it is due to scarcity of assets/services and long overdue wage inflation.

Fed will aggressively dial back its monthly bond buying, sees three rate hikes next year

0.75% raise hardly changes anything in the bigger picture when we are at 0.25%. The tapering was a non-issue; Canada ended theirs months ago. I can't imagine any corp or investor changing what they do because prime is 1%. Especially when the banks are not keeping up with GIC rates.

Trading today's Fed.... the Powell reaction trade

There was no end of day bounce it closed at the day's low -10.4% on the day. Seriously, Ken, you can pretend all you want that you made money on these but I doubt it from 2-4 pm. I just don't find you credible.

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

We somehow missed the "epic selloff" that Calhoun predicted would occur today ( that sounds strange even typing it ). Who could have ever figured with huge earnings growth that stock markets might even go up in December ? A lot of weak hands on the TSX sold their stocks this morning listening to...

So did you buy either of these today ? And did you buy UVXY at any point after 2 pm ?

    The Vaccine Moment, part one

Why is it no surprise that a massive Covid Denier would deny the posts they've made on the subject on here ? Come on now, it's who you are. Does Donald Trump lie ?

Of course you had cases. Maybe your sister should disown her dumb brother.

    The Vaccine Moment, part one

Have you disowned any of your family yet for wearing masks ? I mean surely that's worse then voting for Obama ? What was the Covid infection rate in your office you were so proud of you posted it on here ? I can't believe you actually are trying to deny what you posted on this site. It's all in...

    The Vaccine Moment, part one

You got your ass kicked all year. You and your whole state. I'm not going searching for your posts your mistakes are littered all over the board. What part of 2100 extra deaths per million do you not understand ?

    The Vaccine Moment, part one

LOL is it any wonder we laugh at you denier morons in Florida ? Come on now, should we review the comedy that you claimed during this year ? You know, the part where you said Florida would never have 400-600 Covid related deaths in a week and you topped 400 in a day !!! Yes, masks don't work...

    Dunit, gone to cash!

March 2020 we did 30%, no panic. Market recovered in short order. Short term traders especially short side traders lost their shit again but that's not news. Fed doesn't buy stocks nor do they need to. Even in 2008/2009 a far worse crisis all they did was buy a stake in GM and Chrysler.

China May Soon Lead the U.S. in Tech

My perspective is from Canada and we aren't having a problem developing STEM based talent; keeping it here may be an issue. You might note that the whole PhD thesis just doesn't hold much weight here; it's more about going to the right school for 4 years and early career choices. School is a lot...

China May Soon Lead the U.S. in Tech

My daughter is Canadian born, Canadian educated and has been fast tracking through IT mgmt for US based firms. She has many peers and colleagues that aren't fitting the mold you are trying to sell. None of them are taking a second seat to some over educated Asian sourced demographic. I could go...

Massive U.S. Debts Could ‘Trap’ Powell as Fed Fights Inflation

I don't see a problem. We had years of people posting on here that at 0-0.25% they had no more room to drop. So now they have tons of room to hike. The policy worked got the economy rolling.
