No it doesn't. What happened in 2016-2019 ?

OK you wise guys - make your call on the 2022 low right here

You don't even seem to be aware of actual policy. Are you not aware what tapering is ? What on earth do you think interest rate hikes are all about ? Ok let's look at Canada. QE ended at least 6 months ago. Did everything go to shit ? Actually, our market hit a new ATH last Monday. Our...

2010 or 2016. This site looked the same both years.

No. The Fed is dealing with the economy. Your conspiracy theories are stupid. The economy is not in a crisis quite the opposite really the supply chain can't keep up with demand. Those are clues as to why all these doomsday theories for markets have no point in 2022.

OK you wise guys - make your call on the 2022 low right here

Some of those bad years were due to a massive crisis. If we were to look at the Dot Com, and focus on the SPX, the first down year from the top was roughly -7%. So if we matched -7%, in 2022, we'll be flat the rest of the year. I suspect we'll do better then that but we'll see. 2008/2009 and...

OK you wise guys - make your call on the 2022 low right here

Inflation isn't going to be a long term issue. Markets are forward looking even if you aren't. Here's an interesting fact though. The only trade you've posted in weeks on here was to go long an IT stock. If you are going to spam the board with crash calls, at least put up some trades how you aim...

Covid Vaccine Scam, Ivermectin is the cure (Compilation)

There's no coming back from such foolishness he made his bet and failed miserably, Of course he could play a Calhoun and just roll the apocalypse over every month and reference every bad news event on the planet as a signal of how "right" he was all along.

Cathie Woods says stocks not in a bubble, hilarious. I wonder why she thinks that......

Just like you were in 2015/2016, you'll be wrong again on an epic level. Markets didn't collapse on the first rate hike, or the several rate hikes that came after. We never had negative rates despite a massive pandemic, Remember, I told you we will never have negative rates in NA. They'll raise...

OK you wise guys - make your call on the 2022 low right here

No free lunch. I maintain it's a mixed market not a bear market and a lot of money will stay in stocks. Bonds I hear suck in a rising interest rate environment ( usually money losers ) and the banks will be very slow to raise interest rates on GICs and cash. Something like Enbridge in pipelines...

Russell 2000 almost in Bear territory

Small caps were weak all year in Canada. So this is old news. A true contrarian play would be to buy areas of weakness now ( Gold miners, China, Canadian small caps ). Might be a touch early but I'm keeping an eye on all three areas.

You mean the board went from overly bearish sentiment to over the top frenzy bearish ? Happens on every correction, this is reminding me a lot of early 2016. You know, after the first rate hike occurred December 2015 ( with many others promised ).

You tell us when you entered a short trade and when you cover real time. Hopefully you do better then Ken did with his "20K in inverse" trades.

    2022/2021 Tech Bubble Thread

Anything could happen to IT short term as weak hands and traders overly focus on that one area. What I saw on Thu/Fri is tremendous trading opportunities in both directions in value areas. Commodities still looked bullish most of the week, especially Oil/Copper/Silver. I can't see inflation...

Come on now Shiller's theories got destroyed after 2009. Do I need to fish out the posts on here ? I wonder how many traders like you got totally destroyed by this nonsense from 2009-2019. Even if you held onto your money the long opportunities missed were massive. Seriously, I addressed some of...

    2022/2021 Tech Bubble Thread

Just like in 2009, these kind of posts will look rather silly down the road. Go back to 2016 the posters here certainly called them overvalued IT stocks. Numerous interest rate hikes started very late 2015 and took rates from 0% to I think 2.5%.

    2022/2021 Tech Bubble Thread

Plenty of doubt on that even if we agreed NQ is not the area to be in. In fact, there have been numerous recent years where the NQ corrected early in the year then rallied later in the year. In fact, in 2016, we had a similar situation where interest rate hikes had started.

Perspective: This is just the beginning

It's a mixed market. Even if this was year 2000, anyone avoiding IT didn't do all that badly. And for several fundamental reasons it's not going to be a full dot com like crash anyways. Throw in that we are definitely in a 2009-2014 like commodity bull ( stocks are still lagging the commodities...
