Advice to New Starters / How to Begin

it's all about drawdown, 4 tick risk with profit factor of 1.5 the sky is the limit. i have been thinking 1000 lot x 6 trades a week x 52 weeks x 1 point profit = 15+ mil a yr. and that's on one market with no fixed ratio.

    A truly amazing EA

if a algo is successful it will not need a basket of 8 just a basket of 1. time and time again basket models pop up and eventually they keep adding and changing the basket to fix the backtesting. i can name a few famous ones "catscan" "abberation" "scooter" "trend trader - 1 and 2" "dynamic...

Advice to New Starters / How to Begin

with respect different opinion here. i have been at institutions where i was the surge in order flow. a surge in order flow is not a guarantee of market movement. momentum readings of price itself is really all you need. volume has no bearing on price direction but price direction does and...

Do you need to trade more when you have a positive expectancy?

i traded 30 yr bond futures for decades with a model that was optimized for chop. it had a stop and reverse on the rare event the market would trend a little. so if your going to trade chop focus on it very well and you can do ok. there are guys who trade nothing but chop.

    Qcaid Trading Platform

http://qbitia.com/ anyone try this program looks like tt's adl but at least it has some decent how to video's so you can have a hope of learning what it can do. they have some strong pretty legit partners it seems at least. they only offer a 15 day trial which is far too little time to test...

Do you need to trade more when you have a positive expectancy?

stop right here > you need to define when to trade and when to not trade. right now it's like you have been dropped in a forest and all the trees look the same. you have to get yourself to a logging trail and gain some perspective. 2 ways to trade short term or day trading reversion to the...

Mentorship (4th year still not profitable)

so yea if you think it takes less than 10 years to master trading. i would say it's typical to think that, i did also. i am just being honest with you, everyone seems to have to find their way no matter how great a mentor you have. you will not be satisfied with a canned method most likely...

    Have you tried Build Alpha

lack of ability to use custom studies as far as i can tell it's only pre canned. also in many of the videos i see they are using limit orders which most often are unobtainable in real trading. so the testing will look great but you will never get filled at those prices. most every...

    Buying options for a living

and then when you try and capitalize on the "professionals" stupid flaw in pricing - good luck getting the flawed price you see on the quote. it will be updated to the correct price and the flaw that "paper traders" theorize about will be sold as hope to the unwitting.

    Buying options for a living

ask yourself who invented and who promotes option buying - lol option sellers. they prey on the lust, ignorance and hope of those who think they can risk little and gain a lot. why would someone "sellers" put up their house as collateral to gain a bicycle? each and every month who the heck...

    How to trade volatility?

selling puts in a bull market is not being a contrarian, selling calls in a bull market now that would be a contrarian. i know a guy who has been selling calls on the sp for over 20 years and just managing the risk by rolling and hedging with long futures. the volume of calls sold reflected a...

    Day's and Sessions Redefined?

this post is not about the capabilities of code writing to change or modify session times in a global marketplace, rather it's a post about the omission and dereliction of the commercial industry to make note of diminishing returns caused by the apparent ignorance the condition exist.
