"OTHER CAREFUL, HONEST EXAMINATIONS of the CNBC star showed the same underperformance -- including several independent studies by finance researchers, and a 2007 review by Barron's that found the only way to reliably profit from Cramer's stock picks was to short them.."
I assume you mean you were arrested Friday morning @ 1am and left jail Friday night?
I really doubt your little crime would have shown up on GOOG News by Friday day. And probably not ever. Maybe in a precinct police "arrest log", but those usually take a few days to post. I think one of...
Crammer pretty much just goes with what is happening. If the market is going up, he loves it. If it drops some, he is scared to death.
Crammy only made money when somebody else was trading for him, or he paid for order flow and other info. Or used his CNBC position to float rumors. Or...
My son got a cheap kit for Christmas last year and it made some pretty damn good beer.
Thinking about getting started in it, but I'm afraid I'd like it TOO much and turn alcoholic!
From what I've heard and read, the most important thing is keeping all equipment absolutely sterile and...
Interesting. I use 888.3 and a recent API (forget which). And you say your works fine? I may have to upgrade.
But automatic option order transmission from retail is still "not allowed" is it?
CBOE Regulatory Circular 00-139:
SEC Approval of Prohibition Against Electronically...
This is a fairly recent change (last year or two I think, I don't upgrade API often). They used to just have a popup that had to be closed. It was easy to close with some code and transmit orders, as long as you didn't violate Pacing.
I don't use those strategies anymore, but you might be...
Exactly. Like any broker, there is always room for improvement. But try to find another broker with IB's strength, commish, markets, technology, easy to use API, etc, etc, etc...
IB is a damn good broker.

That hit just cost him $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$...
What a dumbass.
Heh. Looks like it better be a paper airplane! Ol' Lenny apparently stiffed those pilots on his last trip and they are suing hm. They better get in line fast - it's gonna be a looong line! :p
Yep. And unfortunately this kind of story gives those looking to find blame ammo for nailing us all with a huge trading tax. These bozos are seen as a plague on the system, not simply as liquidity and grease for the market, as 90% of these cowboyz eventually fail and donate all of their money.
Doesn't bother me because I execute far more than I cancel. But I can see how it might hurt a strategy that required many many cancels.
I may be wrong, but I think that these fees are put on by the exchanges. IOW not IB's fault. IB's low commission requires that they be passed to the customer.
