Sounds like the sales weren't matched up with the buys? For active traders, this could be a big problem. I trade thru a few million in total, un-netted out, stock and ops each year and I'm small time. An amazing tax bill would be the result. Taxes are a huge pain in the ass for active...

I believe this to be incorrect. I grew up in the South and remember segregation and Jim Crow laws... "Shine", in reference to Blacks, is a derogatory term relating to the servile jobs such as a "Shoe Shine Boy" they use to dominate. :-\
