<i>"We still have much North and South Texas land at less than $100/acre basis with (producing) water and (producing) mineral rights....some for sale....some not yet. Bids?"</i> Yes... please email me austinp44@yahoo.com with details. Thank you!

Whats this!!!! Farmland prices rise faster than some Manhattan and London apartments

<i>"There is a ton of land, were not running out of space in our lifetimes"</i> Who owns that land? Do you realize how much is BLM and state / federal wilderness that can never be developed? There has never been a time, not once in the history of this country where land prices have...

    20k to 500k

<i>"2,500% annual return? Incredibly unrealistic."</i> Incomplete statement. The rest of that is, "... for anyone but a skilled, veteran trader." It's not an incredible feat to trade $20k to $500k profits in a year. You need some volatility, preferably a sustained trend and good skills in...

Whats this!!!! Farmland prices rise faster than some Manhattan and London apartments

I find local land mostly by listed sales. For example, I've been watching a plot here of 200 acres and an old house listed for roughly $300k. The house and five acres would probably fetch +/- $100k, leaving the acreage at $1,000 per. There is a plot of woods there which can be logged in...

Whats this!!!! Farmland prices rise faster than some Manhattan and London apartments

Most of my retirement = long-term investment funds are plowed into (couldn't resist) raw land. They ain't making any more of it, too much gets paved under every year, and just like acreage, standing timber prices have never gone down since the pilgrims stepped ashore. 100% risk-free money...

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

Consider this thread just a bunch of bored traders having fun, awaiting normal market volatility and intraday ranges. Soon we'll be too busy trading real market action for even glancing inside this forum intraday. For now, what you see is what we have to work with...

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

<i>"You might think I'm bullshitting but I just read about 2/3 of this thread and it all makes sense. I'll read up some more on this and catch the ride next month, I don't see it changing anytime soon.. "</i> <b>24SPFL</b>, you are new. This thread is highly tongue-in-cheek. Read thru...

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

<i>"I love when the Fed says..... "bla blah no inflation.... blah blah.. well contained.... blah blah.. data dependent.." 100% up room to go $$$"</i> Looks like the big boys pouring $$ billions into CRB index today have some different views about inflation.

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

<i>"well I hope he bought the sell off.. .cause it was again ZERO RISK for FREE MONEY$$$"</i> Well, the buy signals were there for sure... long ES 1457 and ER 825.50 were the marks. I was away from the screens, doing my patriotic duty: shopping at WalMart, spending some of that short-side...

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

Well, I tried a couple of long trades this morning that didn't work out. Lost a couple G's while expecting the bulls to actually hold a rally for the first time since Thanksgiving 2006. Fortunately, RevShark and ilk were there for us to provide liquidity when we switched to the other side...

Why do folks reveal Profitable Strategies, are they NUTS?

yes... the market was going down (grin) Seriously, there is a lot more to that decision than one can glibly explain in a thread, let alone one post. I have the utmost respect for everybody who honestly tries to teach trading methods inside this forum, but imo a public forum is not at all...

    e-mini hedging and blackouts

Back in 2004 when new eCBOT went live, that exchange didn't accept native stops of any kind. I got my head handed to me in an open ZB trade that failed to trigger non-native stops into econ report, and have never traded the CBOT since. Perhaps that has changed, and YM has stop orders possible...

Why do folks reveal Profitable Strategies, are they NUTS?

<i>"You are on a roll this morning Sir What do you put in that coffee?"</i> Spring is in the air! We have a sunny winter day heading into the 40sF, ice fishing is at its peak and I'll be out there on the hard surface angling for perch this afternoon. But first, we had the CPI throw us a...

Why do folks reveal Profitable Strategies, are they NUTS?

<b>T280</b>, you clearly have a high intellect and very sharp mind, which leans toward simple & concise. Your thread topic and the word structure in your posts demonstrates that. To you, less is more. The same can be said for me... I have a brief attention span, and like to get right to the...

Why do folks reveal Profitable Strategies, are they NUTS?

<i>"... there's a lot more, but I'll stop there, I have to take a nap before the open"</i> Good Lord, <b>JJ</b>... what're you doing up at those hours? Leave those foreign markets alone and get to bed. Plenty of money to be made in our eminis when they open (laugh). Jack and followers...

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

<i>"Lest we forget and once again..."</i> I'm a big fan of the dipsters in here... and yes, this persistently sideways range is amazing. The Big 500 cannot go higher, but absolutely refuses to sell off. Past two+ months is setting up for some wild times ahead. Bring on the fun!!!
