Would that standard apply to Mussolini?

    Corn vs. Soybeans trading

Thanks. I take it by your SN that you use JTrader with Rithmic data to execute? I've used it in the past and love the feed. It's the most reliable I've used.

Hi everybody- I have a question- who is your broker? I need help :)

Do you honestly believe the standard for evaluating counter party risk stops at being regulated. This is insane!

    Do you believe in forex?

I'm not suggesting you should not start very small but as you have already calculated at that size any firm with a fixed minimum commission like IB won't work. My information regarding FX industry common practice is dated but at that size you also need to be careful that the feed you receive...

    Corn vs. Soybeans trading

I understand that beans move and that order are executed the same way. My question relates to the fact that it is still a pit traded product and the common wisdom at one time was that "paper" was a bit mangled in execution at the BOT. I just wondered if that perception continued on...

    Corn vs. Soybeans trading

It's always struck me that thetre is a big "pit edge" in the grains that makes short term (not scalping but intraday) difficult for the guy sending his orders in from off the floor by way of the net. I've never traded grains so I have no idea if this is reality.

    Good prop firm interview

The only thing that makes sense to me about Jimmy is that he has his own methodology and it allows him to put big numbers on the board. Beyond that reality, I have no idea how anyone can survive in that fashion.

    Good prop firm interview

Mav, let me start by saying I know nothing about the prop world and finsih up saying thanks for posting this great article because these guys are clearly the real deal bring enormous value added to those that can cut it at a high level. I'd hate to be consistently on the other side of their...

    Trend Following depends on Prediction

Yes ... of course. And that is the type of prediction we make all the time. Good traders are better predictors than bad ones. A good trader "knows" what a 60% trade looks like (context, setup etc.) and a poor trader mistakes the 45% trade for a 60. That's what it is all about. For...

I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings

This is expressed quite well. Of course the problem is human nature. We are, in the aggregate, shot through and through with greed. The lazy want to be subsidized, the greedy want it all and the man in the middle wants to bury his head in the sand pretending it will all be fine. The day...

    Trend Following depends on Prediction

Haven't you just made the case for the opposite argument? If local fisherman contend the fish you caught are not supposed to be there you are using your experience to predict that there is a reasonable or even a high probability that they will be there. You are perdicting the locals (with years...

I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings

Does Schiff take into account that in the real world there is an excelent chance that one (or both) of the two without the new technology would be inventive enough to utilize a more powerful technology: The rock. Using the rock to split the skull of the high tech fisherman might strike one...

    Trend Following depends on Prediction

I buy this. Maybe not the only answer but as good as any other.

    Trend Following depends on Prediction

Given that anyone with an IQ of 12 or more would realize this definition is rediculous ... this one is a straw man.

    Do you believe in forex?

Four years ago I told a friend of mine who was thinking of trading Forex (and did not want to post 10G with IB) that Forex was a non-starter and most likely he would be scamed. While I trade futures only I would not make the same statement today. With some common sense someone can pick a firm...
