    Yeah, and I always tell guys that they will see this just enuff to sucker them in to trading the lunch period every day, only to get chopped to death. Lunch is for lunch. :)

    What good are we traders for?

    I have asked this question of myself before. And there is another excellent thread about the same that was done fairly recently. It really boils down to personal intent. Because yes our activity helps to create jobs, that is unquestioned. The whole DAT business is about us. And we do provide...

    Nearly Random Entry vs a High Probability Entry

    I am definitely not alluding to anyone specifically by posting this, but I recently read a quote by Albert Einstein that sure applies to many posts and threads on ET. Now Al might not be the end all, but it is "generally accepted" that he was a bright guy. So here it is: "Condemnation...

    wireless broadband?

    I have had no problems. Just for fun I have carried the laptop out to the pool and placed a trade, just to say I did. I have also watched the market all day by the pool using the laptop and QCharts. I had no problems then either.

    Worst market order fill

    Early 80's, I'm long 10 spoos off the floor with a stop market in place for "protection." I don't recall the news event if there was one, but the market dropped 2-3 handles in about 30 seconds. I mean total vacuum. Of course my order became active and filled near the low. Less than 5 minutes...

    Nearly Random Entry vs a High Probability Entry

    Because the challenge was made to dbphoenix, it would be appropriate for him to be involved in the decision as to what a random entry is. And db' has made it very clear elsewhere that a random entry has somewhat specific qualifications. However, since nitro is willing to have a broader...

    Nearly Random Entry vs a High Probability Entry

    Will we be able to agree on what a random entry is? My definition as it relates to this discussion would be saying 'you are long (or short) on this chart... trade.' Decide the entry before the name of the chart is given, give the name and go for it. I have never attempted it, but I am sure...

    inandlong = outofcontrol

    August has certainly seen its fair share of new members who love to post smack, for lack of a better term. Unfortunately, smack is crap, and crap is not welcome in the Trading Forum. This not a Yahoo site where anything goes. You and The Answer are welcome to go back and forth in the Chit...

    Why does it seem that good traders go to futures market?

    You might take a look in the different Futures Forums and see what is going on there. And PDT stands for Pattern Daytrader.
