    Calculating Wins & Losses

Fortunately for me, most of my trades fit into easy rules, it's pretty rare that I have multiple entries and exits as I described. On the other hand, if I did have plenty of the "confused" trades I described, I'd undoubtably have a system of determination I was happy with. And, it doesn't...

Watch for a good trade on Monday !

He switched Monday night to a "solid move to 770", as I recall. :D

Watch for a good trade on Monday !

Me too! 9:31 is a great time to place a trade, according to this brand new method I just "thunk of" (BTW: Did you know you can do Magic 8-Ball OL? http://8ball.federated.com/ ). Unfortunately, this method suffers from the same weakness as yours, it doesn't determine whether one should be long...

    Calculating Wins & Losses

For my trading, the trend of the win/loss line is important. You are free to disregard yours, but I watch for a change in mine.

    Serious Job Losses....

I'm not sure if you are responding to my post, but I can assure you that I definately expect the market to continue downwards for years, even if the economy puts along like it is currently. I'm merely saying the economy is not a complete and utter failure right now. Maybe by fall, heck maybe...

    TradeStation 7

I agree, especially as I am not a brokerage customer. Let the other guys find all the bugs and workarounds. :D

    Calculating Wins & Losses

Yeah, that's pretty much the way I do it, one entry and three exits = one trade. However on Friday (I think), I went long, then bought some more, then sold some, sold some more, then sold the rest (2 entries, 3 exits). I counted it as two trades. But, I'm not completely comfortable with...

    Serious Job Losses....

TheCaracal: Oops, I misunderstood your post. You were speaking of raw numbers, while I was thinking in terms of precentages. To compare the raw numbers instead of percentages is to mislead. Here's an example. Count up all the people living in New York who have an income of $50k or mor...

In fast moving market, IB is a joke

So, in spite of your huge number of complaints about IB - to the point that all I saw was the thread title and I knew you were the author - you still have faith in them?

    Serious Job Losses....

No way to the homeless levels. During the Great Depression, unemployment was like 25%! My grandpa told me how a relative made a fortune buying foreclosures on the steps of City Hall for five bucks each. We've got a long way to go to get to that level. Nice choice on the hooch, I love MM...

    screen capture with multi. mon.

It prolly works on WinMe as well. I meant to say this may not work on things like Unix, DOS, Macs etc.

    screen capture with multi. mon.

Select your window, and hit ALT-PrtScn. Open Paintbrush and Paste. Change it, or save it to disk or print it. Bingo. Only works on win98-WinXP (including W2K).

    Missing Data in TS6

I think I read that they want to do more frequent upgrades. That should be pleasant.:(

Not I. I'm betting they are switching over brokerage customers first. Good, let them find all the bugs :D.

    Missing Data in TS6

When I restart TS6 during the day, it seems like information is missing for calculated values (like TICK, TRIN and indices). There are darn few red bars. I tried rebooting, but that doesn't help. Here's an example. I've got a comparison of two charts of the same symbol over nearly the same...

    TS6 and Credit Cards

Somehow the expiration year on my CC got changed (over at tradestation). Pretty strange, I've had all this stuff for over a year with no changes by me. But, everything seems oK now.

    TS6 and Credit Cards

Not sure if this is just an isolated incident (and I'm unlucky) or TradeStation is having some problems. This AM, they told me that (for some mysterious reason) my credit card didn't want to pay the main fee month (but it did pay two $10 charges). So, I called my credit card company and they...
