    Blow up

I just heard the first part of that on a local radio show - where Bill Murray says "you will achieve total consiscousness when you die."

Real Deflation or the Fed is smoking something?

 I've had more than a couple whiskeys, but this statement I do not understand. Lower demand = higher prices? And, I thought gold mines are (in general) running a chunk below cap, so they can up production should a spike occur? I'd appreciate it if you could explain.

    Best way to learn Easylanguage?

The best way is to have an idea that you want to put into code, and then do it. There is no substitute for hands-on experience. I came from a strong programming background, and picked up EL fairly quickly (although there are concepts in EL that do not exist in the traditional programming...

Real Deflation or the Fed is smoking something?

Healthcare has been rising and will continue to rise as the nation ages and most of us are on insurance. The only way it will stop rising is if there is some sort of strong incentive that convinces the insured (us) to conserve healthcare.

Mock Trading on the CME Floor!!!!!

LOL. Just like real life alright - the establishment gets to break the rules to screw the "regular" people.

    Cheap DSL

Since there was some discussion about DSL and cable, here's a deal on them. Earthlink is offering a special rate for new DSL and cable subscribers ($29.95/month for six months). The cable offer applies to Time Warner only. DSL 1. DSL modem is free if you continue for one year. 2. After...

    Advise for new futures trader.

In my case it was strictly emotion. About 25% of my trading was discretionary (I'm reducing that now). I exagerated a bit when I said I got creamed every time, but overall I lost money trading 10 contracts.

    Advise for new futures trader.

Watch out when you go to increase your trading size. I would trade 5 ES and rake in pretty good money, but everytime I kicked up to 10 I got creamed. There's a person who goes by the handle of p^t who said he's fond of the saying "You have to earn the right to trade size." Thanks again...

    i cant stop winning

Everytime I see this topic show up on the home page, I always think it says: "I can't stop whining." :D Nothing against the author of this thread, more of an observation on some of the things that are written here.

    Clearing Firms

One thing I've noticed here at ET, is there is occasional discussion about which clearing firm a broker uses, but there does not seem to be any indications that one clearing firm is better than another. I'm not sure how much of a difference there can be, if one is trading electronic markets...

Why Will Stocks Not Sit Down? Stay Tuned

You ain't kidden', we are feaken' awash with cash. I'm starting to think the fed is printing money solely to stave off deflation. I thought I was fairly good at econ, but when I think about deflation, my mind just wonders in circles

    Internet Speed / Capacity

Hmmm, I'm pretty sure that T1s are about 1.5 megabits per second. Not to disagree with your providers, but I'd get that speed in writing and test it using perhaps www.dslreports.com. I know there are higher Ts with faster speed, mebbe that's what you are getting.

If you just received 5 million dollars

LOL - my first thought was where to invest it, and my second was how to avoid taxes.

    Internet Speed / Capacity

A T1 will still have a downspeed of about 1 or 2 megabits (pretty much the same as decent DSL or cable), but you have much faster upspeed and lower latency. I'd advice you to consider running both cable and DSL - you can get a swell router that will attach your LAN to both those WANs.
