    Impossible to Beat?

Does anybody have that link to the thread that had those ten charts, some random, some not?

    Trade station Code

That'll merely give you the high of the current bar. It's fairly easy to do though - take into account the time frame of the chart, and the current time. Then get the highest high and the lowest low since open using the lowest and highest functions.

    Impossible to Beat?

Almost 2:1 (13:7) right now in favor of Myster #1. I picked #1, and I wonder if that's good or bad if it has the majority. . .

    Check out this chart

I've noticed that markets move up differently than down. For instance, a slow downdraft has a higher chance of reversing than a slow climb - markets like to move down quicker than they move up. So IMO, it's not accurate to merely reverse the chart and see if you get an opposite "read" from it...

Econ Forum: Isn't deflation a good thing?

    Please elucidate.

Holy Mackral, found a pic of Our Hero

I'm almost embarrased to admit that Freakhole is a daily site hit of mine. Not for the pR0n, and especially not for the gross pics (YEEEECH! - I strongly advise that anybody somewhat normal stay outta there! I looked at one pic in there, and . . . ugh. . . never again), but they have funny...

Econ Forum: Isn't deflation a good thing?

Yeah, you stated the idea I presented in the original post with more clarity but perhaps less humor :D. That is the thing. But in essence, isn't Uncle Greenie essentially robbing the folks who loaned the feds money? Essentially? :D

Econ Forum: Isn't deflation a good thing?

LOL, point taken. OK, my real question is, isn't deflation of 1-3%/year (not 45% as suggested above) a good thing?

Econ Forum: Isn't deflation a good thing?

But, by the very nature of keeping plenty of cash in the bank, interest rates are lowered, and that makes capital cheaper for business, and makes more expansion possible due to cheaper capital costs. The problems in Japan are mainly caused by corruption and anti-free market ideas, along with...

Econ Forum: Isn't deflation a good thing?

Sure be cool if we could get an econ forum someday. But I sure ain't gonna sponsor it. :D I've been thinking about the current economic climate quite a bit. It's hard, because I don't really "grok" deflationary principles (I'm such a Boomer). But, it strikes me that mild deflation might...

    I trade 1 ES

Oh yeah :D. I am huge, I am Mr. TGregg, bring me yer finest meats and cheeses! :D :D :D Seriously though, I'm with ya. I shorted near the close into the weekend. Not significantly, mind you - just two contracts. I got a couple very nice trades in yesterday that let me play with OPM...

    What's next ??????????

It's called socialism. They tax the bejeebers outta electricity on account of how it's causing TEOTWAWKI, so most folks don't have AC. And from what I understand, they gotta raise those taxes even higher on account of that Koyoto thing. Or, they could go more nuclear. :D :D :D I think...

    Does this indicate something ?

July money supply numbers are out, and Al has grown M1 by 6.8%, M2 by 8.1% and M3 by 8.6% over the past year.

How long have you ACTIVELY trading?

Just over a year of full time. And I mean, just over - by less than two weeks.

    Baron has NO clue

Clearly, it's much too specific for him to understand and put into practice. Now, if it were much more nebulous, he'd be all set. . . :D

    Baron has NO clue

You and me both, Nitro. :( But, I gotta say that Mr. Hershey stayed in his own threads (which I completely ignored). I dunno about the SEC, and I dunno what went on in the threads, and I dunno about what threats may or may not have been issued behind the scenes (or by whom), but it seems to...

    Trade this Chart III

My target is a tick (or three, depends on the market) above the low on the bar where we went long initially. My stop is the open/close of that doji previous to the long position.
