Massive US trade deficit - Recipe For Disaster

Thanks Hanseng1. If I understand correctly, the foreign governments that prop the dollar up also help to allow the Fed to continue this "inflationless" huge money expansion. Right?

Massive US trade deficit - Recipe For Disaster

One thing that makes me wonder, haven't we had a trade deficit for years and years and years? Seems like I can remember hearing about this for the past 20 years. If my recollection is true, then why is that so bad? I run a trade deficit with the rest of the world, for instance. As a matter...

Can i SUE a Brokerage for refusing me because of my citizenship?

It is astonishing that freedom is so poorly understood in the 21st century. But reflection upon mankind's past says I should not be astonished - freedom is apparently a very difficult concept to grasp.

Just yesterday I got a nice letter from some options dude who has this swell alert system that can make 43%/week. It's only $300 a quarter. I was going to write him and offer 100 million for his system like this: "I'll send you a dollar. After three months at 43% compounded weekly you...

New Trading Platform Nets over a mill per NQ on one trade

That was a real screen capture, not photoshopped. Well, except for the obvious green spraypaint from Paint.

New Trading Platform Nets over a mill per NQ on one trade

Testing out my new trading platform, and made this awesome test trade (see screenshot). Unfortunately, I'll probably see some huge slippage when I go live. :D

    Power Supply

My PS (Antec true430) shows 28A max on the 3.3. I'm running a gig of ram and a 128meg GeForce4 4600 (running two mons) and three Matrox G450s (two running two mons, one running one). So, IMO it will work. http://www.antec-inc.com/specs/true430_spe.html

    What happened to ES liquidity

No, that is not what he is saying. Imagine you want to sell at 4.25, and you submit an order. If the price ticks up to 4.25 but no higher, you don't get a fill. The only time you get a fill is if the price ticks up to 4.5.

Something interesting happened to me today. . .

I PMed the best trader I know, one whom (to my knowledge) has never even been mentioned here on EliteTrader. I was pretty sure he was not a poster, but wondered if he was a lurker. So I asked him what trading message boards he read. He indicated that he read none. Not only did he not read...

    hardware platform recommendations?

Yes. If one cannot afford to run XP, one should run W2K. One generally wants to run the latest NT OS they can.

Changing quanity on Globex - back to the end of the line?

That's interesting. So there is no difference between canceling an open order then submitting a new one for the same quantity, and changing the quantity on the existing order. What's even more interesting is if reducing size does this. If so, than one should always submit one lot orders...

Changing quanity on Globex - back to the end of the line?

If one changes the number of contracts on an open order already submitted to Globex (via IB), does that order go to the back of the line? Or does it retain it's priority?
