Tired of this? As a trader? You can't be serious. This is a trader's dream. Now, as an investor, I'd be shitting myself about now.

    Advice to a Widow,

No doubt. There needs to be an active, WILLING participant for this to work. If not, off to Smith Barney, Merrill or Morgan Stanley she goes.

    Advice to a Widow,

As one of those mutual fund sales guys in a previous life, here's my suggestions: 1) AVOID annuities. They are so incredibly costly. While the 'guarantee' looks nice, there is typically so much fine print it's not even funny. I used to sell one where the fees were at least double of mutual...

Trading within the body of the candle

That would mean he is only looking at the open and close - not the high and low of the candle. The real body of a candle shows the open and close and all the price(s) in between. The wicks show the extremes.

If this thing closes on its lows...

Then we all move to Canada. Or Mexico. :D Good question in all seriousness. The bulls will be looking for any reason to help push this but if the rate cut doesn't do it...

You trade from home, do you have a biz card ?

Exactly. Therefore, you need a card for 'the people that matter'.

You trade from home, do you have a biz card ?

It's a personal preference. Like I said, depending on where you socialize, a biz card could be important. If you are open to outside funds, you need a biz card. If you just work in your mom's basement and eat at Denny's, then a biz card could be overkill. :D

You trade from home, do you have a biz card ?

I like bugs reply. Depending on who/where/what you associate with, a biz card may be necessary. Perhaps your spouse is a member of a foundation and they are always asking her what you 'do'. A biz card solves that. Heading to a cocktail party? Doesn't hurt to have an official card. Again, it's...

Well there is a year's worth of trading down the tubes

Sorry to hear that Chris. Maybe it's time to reevaluate your money management practices. To lose entire year's profit in less than a month would be a red flag in my opinion.

Time Warner tests Internet usage-based billing

The question is - is streaming market data one of those things that push you into a high download area? I have no idea. I know downloading movies and such is intensive (as the link mentions) but not sure about streaming data... is it more like web surfing or more like downloading movies/apps?

Hammer forming on the IWM hourly chart

reno - if you use candlesticks in your daytrading, I suggest you study them more as you'll find out that sometimes the market is not 'textbook'. If you are waiting for the picture perfect hammer, you'll wait for awhile and that one will probably fail. STOP HAMMER HUNTING. Either LEARN what...
