A profitable journal with all entries/exits posted in advance

I think I'm doing pretty ok now. Who's to say SPY or gold will consistently go up over time? I understand the way I trade is not for everyone. When the market goes up slowly I don't make very much money, and everyone else does. When the market is wavey I do better and everyone else...

Oh sorry. No target yet. But when I come up with one I'll post it in here, or I'll at least post my exit in real time.

Next add on QLD is probably going to be $47 or so. That's assuming price doesn't keep going up for a while first.

I have two issues with adding to a winning trade: 1) it raises your average cost and makes it so that a smaller movement against you wipes out your profits. 2) just because a trade is "winning" does not mean it is going to keep going in that direction. If you have confirmation that it's...

Price had gone significantly against me. I started that trade with a small position and added more as it went against me. If I could predict price, then I would go all in from the beginning.

A profitable journal with all entries/exits posted in advance

I'm happy with my performance for 2012. I haven't made much from trading this year, but it all evens itself out over time. Last year I made mid-5 figures in a single trade (see my post on 11/1/2011 in this thread). I live very frugally so it's not a big deal. As long as my net worth is...

So OEC is becoming OEC, a division of GAIN

They sent out notices saying that if you don't want your account to be tansferred over to GAIN, let them know by 5pm on November 30. These notices were sent out at 8:25am on November 30. Less than 12 hours notice!

Or when you try to talk to someone but whatever they say is so obscure and ambiguous that you can't learn anything from them. That's actually a sign of a scammer/charlatan. By making everything confusing, the "targets" will think the person they are talking to is really smart and they...

What's strange about that is an unprofitable trader has no "system" to share. It would be like me teaching a class on bird calls. I have no problem with people presenting ideas and sharing information. I do that all the time. But a lot people give advice and frame it as if it's coming...

There's something strange about unprofitable traders teaching a system as if it were profitable. Would you go to a mechanic who has never fixed a car? Fair enough. To me, investments are things you sit back and forget about, or update like once a year. I check/monitor my positions...
