Coastal Trade Securities LLC. Did you do business with this company?

You are entering into a business relationship with a regulated broker dealer where you put up your 1st loss money that is commingled with the firm and other capital partners. You are at risk for the firm losses but receive no benefit from the other traders. You only receive higher leverage than...

Interactive Brokers - exchange traded spreads

Well, that might be the issue. You can't expect one platform to provide the best experience for trading every asset class. And IB has made it very clear that they have no interest in offering the maximum leverage/minimum margin on any of their asset classes.

Where do you find FCM's financials?

I have never looked at the numbers that closely. I only care what services they provide and that they have a stable capital base. You will see the Net capital increase soon as they are combining the securities operation with the FCM. I thing the capital might double. I find them excellent to...

    Futures Clearing firm pay interest?

No not really. They FCM is expected to take steps to reduce risk to the system. The best way to do that is have them make a financial commitment.

    Futures Clearing firm pay interest?

Extra cash for counter party risk. With equity options, clearing firms have large deposits with the OCC for counter party risk. Your margin deposit is not enough to protect the system.

    Futures Clearing firm pay interest?

The CME require an FCM to put up 8% of your margin with their own capital. EG: Client Margin: $100,000 Client puts up $100,000 FCM: $8000 ------------- Some FCMs will finance margin for hedgers, not for speculators.

    Futures Clearing firm pay interest?

I can't imagine that FCMs share that number. For the most part, commission at most firms are negotiated and based on volume, risk, amount of time and effort the account will require and overnight positions(which require capital from the FCM). The highest I've heard of is $15/side for a manager...

When is the right time to quit your job and trade full time?
