What keeps a brokerage employee from shadowing your trades?

There seems to be two concerns here. In my opinion, being concerned about your broker looking at your trading, is not something I would spend much time on. I just don't think it's common enough to be concerned with and should not effect your returns. If you have written an automated system and...

What keeps a brokerage employee from shadowing your trades?

You have to decide who you want to be protected against. I can't say one is better than another, when it comes to your concern. I would not make it a deciding factor.

What keeps a brokerage employee from shadowing your trades?

We use broker neutral platforms. From that, your clearing firm gets live drop copies for risk. We get live drop copies for risk. Your DMA routes has an order router that directs the trades to an exchange. You can't protect yourself from your concern unless you own the entire process. You need to...

What keeps a brokerage employee from shadowing your trades?

This has come up a lot on ET. Brokerage employees send copies of their trades to their firms. I have not heard of this being done.

CTS T4 Desktop vs CQG QTrader

Chubby, I my opinion, CTS T4 is more option focused while CQG has a more global presence. I recommend to my clients CTS for options in the USA and CQG for just futures. We offer both.

    Automated Trading System Legality

I can't speak for UK laws, however in the USA with regard to providing SAS and coordinating co-location facilities, you don't have any regulatory requirement.

How do I trade OPM legally? Excellent return, need advice

MrN and ScalperJoe are correct. If you are going to charge a fee, it is your responsibility to check to see if you have to register as an RIA. Just because a broker allows you the ability to trade OPM does not mean you don't have a regulatory requirement.

Problems trading futures in IRA accounts at IB?

I just called my rep at IB. He sent me to this page. Some futures offer better margin for day trading and some don't. The list is here: https://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/index.php?f=marginnew&p=fut

Problems trading futures in IRA accounts at IB?

I'm in the process of using Midland IRA so I can open a futures account where I want to. I'm not going to trade my RothIra myself. I'm going to choose a few managers. My account will be at FC Stone but Midland Ira will provide all the filings as FC Stone does not accept IRAs directly.

Problems trading futures in IRA accounts at IB?

I don't believe IB offers different margin for daytrading vs overnight. The best way to determine your margin requirement is to stage an order and "Check Margin Impact" as Trader13 pointed out, because margin can change at IB. It is not based on Exchange margin and can change with market...
