I can say this. Tops and bottoms occur slowly as psychology shifts. The slope of the 200 day exp moving average on a daily chart is very reliable for determining bull or bear markets. A return to the line by price is your buy and sell points.

We have never gone up this many days without a close below the 10 day moving average, that is new.

Same thing all over again. Indexes making higher highs, VIX not making lower lows. The same thing all over again. What this means to me is, VIX,PUT CALL RATIO,TICK,or any other indicator is manipulated just like everything else. It's meaningless to follow them.

I remember seeing this type of action back in 2003, the VIX would gap up every Monday along side stock indexes gapping up on the open. This keeps the VIX from falling to low as to set off alarm bells.
