I've listened to some podcasts, and saw at least one thread here, that talked about getting rebates from your broker. Is this still a thing, for retail I mean (if it ever was for retail)? An insight to John "Rambo" Moulton trading

Thanks. On the podcast I mentioned, he does in fact mention being ready to buy/sell, as you mentioned. He also mentioned trading like the 3 year and 10 year Aussie bond spreads. So what you said sounds spot on.

An insight to John "Rambo" Moulton trading

Its funny, I just listened to his Chat With Traders podcast. At one point he seemed to rag on people trading from home haha. And I thought he was known from being in the pits? This guy is a unique (strange?) character for sure.

An insight to John "Rambo" Moulton trading

So Pekelo, to be clear, I think his comet analogy is accurate for the way he trades. Sounds like he might look at charts from time to time, but highly doubts their ability to predict the future. He sounds much more like he is (or was) in the pits akin to trading off of DOM data. Sounds very...

The bear case for stocks is ‘so obvious, it can’t be right’

Interesting clacy. I kind of doubted your numbers, so I did just some quick looking. NASDAQ in late 1999/early 2000 - on quick look it appears it topped out at roughly 3,940. NASDAQ Friday close - 7,825 DOW around same period - looks like it got up to 10,940. DOW Friday close (close to...

How would you hedge this using options on QQQ or options on NQ futures?

Is the reason you would ever hedge is because you want to do the two contract thing but it might be too much exposure one way? I dunno, i would guess just take it diwn to one contract, save the money for dry powder.
