Wellllllllll!!!! This is not good if I can't trust Qcharts T/S. The Merc just reported to me at 0843 CT a 5 lot traded at 875! Chumps! You know that is real money. Maaaan, it's always something.

Zorak you are right, I am a pencil-necked lounge lizard. Does everyone else have 875 as the open of that 943 bar? Edit: I just went back and looked at time and sales. The las trade at 9:42:59 was 875 a 3 lot. The first trade at 9:43:00 was at 874.50 - a 5 lot! I'm going to call the...

Hey Faster! I have not placed live trades with it yet. I have used it with the demo and everything seems to work well. I have also placed live away from the market orders with it and cancelled them to be sure that works well. It does. It seems very responsive. All the data comes in fine...

Maaaaaannnnn! Yeah, thanks for NOT pointing that out. I'd hate to be made a fool of publicly. Let's just keep it between you and me on this thread. Shhhh. So I wonder then if I extend the fib numbers for the remainder of the 24 hours... but would I stop the numbers while the globex is stopped...

Oh and I see GG even knew about the 24 hour thing. What...was this some big secret to keep from inandlong? Is everybody here just out to get me? Doesn't anybody like me? ...........I'm so alone.......

No! So what ....get off me!!! Where does it say that in the owner's manual mister???? So I take it you are, well that certainly makes gapping less of a problem then doesn't it? Looking then at Zoraks trade for the NQ he should not have suffered a double-whammy, he should have had a B/E...

I'm not seeing what you are seeing Quah. Since I rec'd QCharts to Zorak I was checking out that 9:43 NQ trade. Regardless of whether 874.5 or 875, shouldn't that have been a Short? Edited: Ah I see the prob, unless it isn't one. It looks like the entries for 943 and 951 are identical. Is this...

What do you mean by long term investor? Personally, I think all that self-analysis stuff is a waste of time. Holy moly, by now I suspect you know yourself well enough to decide whether or not you can pull the trigger quicker than every once in awhile. Don't be mislead by all that stuff...

Amen to that cheeks. There was a guy about two years ago that had an office across from me. He pointed at me one day and said, "you guys are worthless. There ought to be laws against daytrading." This was when I actuallly did daytrade. Later I found out he was holding MSFT at 60 which he had...

    Aphie's quest into Futures

Good luck aphie! Have you identified whether your method does better in a trending or trading environment? And there is some validity to waiting until your method is losing to start trading it real time. I hope you do great right out of the chute. :)

Your points are well taken and I truly do appreciate the art of the trade. There is satisfaction that comes from gauging the market correctly, or working a loss into a win. But given a method that takes advantage of small pops in the market, well it is worth the try anyway. Heck, if the...

Wow, that's good news and bad news Brandon. The bad news is, that means most of the guys here aren't making any money. The good news is, it means I'm not average. What I am is still open for debate, but I know I am not average.

Which is more important... the end or the means to the end? That's like saying you drive a car because you don't know how to ride a horse. "Any man worth his weight should be able to ride a horse, by golly." What is the objective? The objective is to make money. If a "system" makes money...

So if I'm a cotton picker, and I have 100 acres of cotton to pick, and some guy invents a machine to pick the cotton for me, and all I have to do is operate the machine, I should discard it because I don't want to get tied to the machine?
