I reaffirmed my belief that sometimes ES leads and sometimes NQ leads. Nothing I see to hang my hat on. Busy day at work also. Back to usual tomorrow.

Just did some sim on ES today. Think I will stay with NQ for the time being.

As I mentioned earlier, that first trendline often holds, I honor it. In the case of the 1x buy, price ran right up to that first trendline and really set up for a double top with trend sell. It was just a fake reversal back to the primary trendline.

It seems to me that when a new trend starts and gives you a couple of pivot points to draw a new trendline, say a new downtrend as on your first chart. When you go to a larger perspective chart, up the next fractal, that line often holds as a trendline on that chart. If that is the case then...

That chart says it all. We are on the same page. I also would not take any long trades until that first tl was broken. Just seems that they are not high probability for me. Thanks for posting the chart.

I agree. I do not trade any pattern on its own merit. I am always looking for at least 2 reasons to enter a trade. By the way I do not consider any indicator as a supporting reason.

I would suggest you first build a resume of engineering work experience and obtain what ever professional certifications are available in Ireland. Odds are you will need to go back to engineering, at least to rebuild your trading stake. This I suggest from personal experience.

Have you considered posting charts of your trades? You may receive some helpful comments or provide an ahha moment for a less experienced trader.

Not as thin as YM, generally well behaved, price action shows up well, but ES may be a bit better. It is comfortable for a piker like me.
