    Smoking weed and trading

My chess game seemed to improve enormously after about two pints of beer .... of course after I socked back several more pints my opponent started to complain about me moving HIS pieces. Careful you don't overdo a good thing. You might give it all back. :D

Be aware, we will have test the high by the end of June or in the early of July

Nothing about computers making the market tricky. The Bernanke Put makes the "algorithm" very easy for all of us. Pullback -> Buy!!

I am getting my butt handed to me on a daily basis!

I suggest you focus on that statement. It certainly applies to me. The harder I try to make it happen, the worse I do.

Nikkei getting killed. Dow futures blood red. BTD on Friday!

Is it my imagination, or are the successful traders the ones who simply trade what is there? You guys are so concerned about what should be/could be/ought to be. This has to be a recipe for disasterous trading results.

    prop trading...

In the musical world, some of the greatest teachers were formerly great performers. My point is this: I believe in order to teach well it isn't necessary that you perform well, but it is necessary that you did at one time perform well.

    Buy the dip

Guess it depends on what you're trading. Understanding the impact of key economic data from the relevant countries helps greatly with understanding the movement within the major currency pairs. As I said, I think it depends on what you're trading.

    Pips vs Percent

Look buddy, let's be honest here. The original question is vague and misleading. What does .2% in this context actually mean? Is it .2% of the number of units purchased? Is it .2% of the spread? .2% seems really high to me given that, for example, my margin requirement on the EUUR/USD is...

    Pips vs Percent

Misleading? Maybe, but I think when a broker quotes a % in this context they are using a major pair like EURUSD as their reference.

    Pips vs Percent

I'm working with a small forex trading balance: $1000 in a forex account at any given time. I always buy one mini lot of EUR/USD or USD/CAD ($1/pip).

    Pips vs Percent

Completely depends on what you're trading. In my case, the numbers work perfectly. Each pip is $1. So, I can work out the % easilly. #pips/$amount risked X 100%.

How to trade the EUR now

I would have to admit my exit on a profit is on the fly. Because of the EURUSD range, I am not comfortable waiting for a profit of more 100 pips. There have also been a number of occasions when news comes out and it is very obvious the trade is about to go against me, I get out. Also, if I...
