    Daytrading and a Golfer Mind

Let's get real! Golf is cursing, throwing your clubs, lying about your score, and worse. While there may be some parallels above, there are things most any golfer can do, that a trader can't. Mulligans, and taking advantage of a handicap...try that while trading. Besides, golf is a...

    The Stochastic Indicator

It could have been "worse"... The post 1:00 run up would have worked out as follows... +1.25 +1.50 -1.25 So sitting here paralyzed didn't hurt too bad... 03:25 Long at 833 04:00 Out at 338 A two point loss, and a 5 point win...+3 net. Being positive is always good, but I...

OK, I admit that I have no idea how to play the post 1:00 move...it just got away from me - damn-it,

I think you're dead on, Rich. And I missed what you pointed out. Now if I could just get IB to bust the trade, all would be well:)

Thanx for the advice. I'll file it in the appropriate place.

I refer you to what has been posted by Jack. interpret it as you will. Trade it, or don't. But let's cut the crap as to what your game is...OK?

The Histogram did close below 0.4 on my chart. The MACD itself was pushing it on my part - as was trading after 11:15. I pushed it, and got my hand slapped:)

    The Stochastic Indicator

No, the morning down move was doable. The 11:00 "buy" wasn't a buy...the MACD had not crossed yet. You had me fooled. OldTrader, I thought that you were showing a real interest - it appears that all you really want to do is rain on the parade...so be it. I see value in the method. You...

Ouch... Could have sworn I was right - even waited for both lines to cross,,, 11:35 Short at 820.75 - minus 2 points. Missed the early morning move, as I didn't sit down till 11:00...(sigh)

OK, I see the "problem" - I use 25-75 triggers, and simply look up at the clock to log my entry time. Obviously I have been "influenced" by Jack, but still take my own thinking into account. (Old habits are hard to undo:))

    The Stochastic Indicator

There's no foolin' you, OldTrader:) Yes, I do use the "fast" line for entry. As for the 03:50 trade, it is a real one - I can't explain why you think it should have been a point lower...as for the exit, it came a few minutes after 4PM...and was closed simply because of the time.

    Hussein challenges Bush to debate?

Did I say ANYTHING in support of Saddam? No. But alas, you're right...I wouldn't last long over there. I'm 57, and in poor health - how's about you? Loved the cut about not making much money - so let me play your game - OK I'll bet the reason you aren't going over is because you heard...

    Hussein challenges Bush to debate?

I see that you can't answer the question either - but that won't stop you from making a stupid wiseass comment. What the hell, it ain't your pretty little ass on the line. I also enjoyed the part about "let's send tampa" - as per usual, you really mean how about if someone else sends tampa...

    Hussein challenges Bush to debate?

So tell me Maxie, when was the last time George talked to Saddam? Or who was the last high ranking US official who went to Iraq? Hell, who was the last US official of any rank who went to Iraq? You don't know, do you Maxie - and you don't care. Your fat ass is safe and sound sitting at...

    The Stochastic Indicator

Another tough call - everything looks good, but the MACD Histogram is not quite there... 11:15 Short at 837.25 I was somewhat distracted, and took the trade...when I saw that the Histogram was not where it should be I bailed with a 1/4 point. Playing by the rules, as I understand them...

    The Stochastic Indicator

This is a tough one...the MACD Histogram said no, but the one-minute chart said yes - at least as far as I am concerned. 10:30 Short at 839 The MACD was right, I was wrong - would have resulted in a one point loss.

    The Stochastic Indicator

If you had done it Jack's way... 09:35 Short at 843 10:20 Covered at 840.25 Plus 2.75 points. Using other methods Jack has spoken of, you could have done even better. Of course the "Backtesting Boys" would have not taken the trade, since the method doesn't work. Some others would...
