Advanced math in PhD itself won't help you to make money in market, but it gives you the ticket to join "real" firms(not those blood sucker prob firm) like GS and MS, you will learn "real" things there and real money. I assume you no need this as you are able to make money by trading...

Get a PhD in one of the top U, then got a job in GS or MS. You will learn when you are part of the team.

For those who know me, you know i won't BS. The only advice - buy the dip. (honestly i hate this strategy but it just work under current QE policy)

$5 is still not that bad at least you are making some $$ and in long term you will be ok. The worst is your broker make $80 and you are losing -$5.

++1. Sometime I just ask myself how many ET here are trading noise (without stop) and claim they have the best system in the world. Those system will blow up eventually when a strong trend occurs.

This market will continue rallies as far as we have the bear like you, try to pick the top and sell short. The only time market will tank is all the bear give up and convert to bull. :D
