Let's learn/discuss how to read the DOM and Time and Sales

What kind of imbalances do you guys normally see in the ES? In the last few days I haven't seen more than 13,000:11,000 levels which is like 1.2:1, hardly the 2:1 I hear people saying to look for.

Let's learn/discuss how to read the DOM and Time and Sales

Ok so I was watching the CL and the DOM today. What is going on here: How are trades occuring above the bid and the ask? If someone comes in with a market buy order doesn't it fill at the ask, and if someone comes in with a market sell doesn't it fill at the bid? How do you sell above...

closed above the open minus 20 points

I've never heard anyone say that. If it closes above the open how can it close above the open minus 20 points? If price opened at 1,400 and it closed above the open, it would have to close above 1,400. But the open minus 20 points is 1,380. So if it closed above that maybe it closed...

What's the difference between the silver futures?

Is GSI the original one? It's on COMEX.

What's the difference between the silver futures?

I see there's GSI which seems to have decent volume but then there's also ZI which has like no volume. They both say 5,000 oz Silver. And then I see a few others in smaller amounts (2,500 oz for QI, 1,000 oz for YI) but those have no volume, either.

I'm not going to be buying any now, because it's a huge pain in the butt to actually get your money into the Bitcoin brokerages. Maybe at some point in the future, though. In the meantime I'm still watching the prices. Are you buying any?

The “Bond King” still says: Buy Gold

And I tweeted this morning that I'm buying SLV: @1a2b3cppp: Bought 185 shares USLV @ $10.81.

    HAHA - Goldbugs!

Here's a chart starting mid-May 2012 of SLV, AGQ, and USLV:

    HAHA - Goldbugs!

I think it's a good idea to start small. I'm not sure where my next buy levels will be. SLV looks to have previous support around 17 or so. So from SLV's current price of $22.41 to $17 is a drop of 25%. This same drop on USLV would be about 75% which would put it near $2.50/share. Of...

3x is a little crazy, is there a 2x SLV?

I did not know USLV existed. Going to be buying a position and averaging down.

Do the games ever mess up and someone accidentally gets a huge fill where they weren't actually serious?

Let's learn/discuss how to read the DOM and Time and Sales

So price trades at the current level until someone comes in and places a buy market order which raises price to the ask, and then it starts filling those orders that were one tick higher? Does that explain the "random" DOM movement? Cuz in a situation like the one I posted I would expect all...
