    Making Bollinger Band fading profitable

I have a way that I trade and have been posting live trades for years in my journal threads. I'm looking for other ideas that might help my understanding of the markets.

Let's discuss trading styles that don't involve prediction

I trade as if price is random. So far I'm really only comfortable doing this on a long term basis (eg. not intraday). Let's discuss methods of trading that don't involve prediction. I hear people say a lot "cut your losers short and let your winners run." When I trade, I can't do that...

    Making Bollinger Band fading profitable

Yup. If you knew when price was going to be choppy you could just trade mean reversion systems during those times. "Trend indicators" and stuff are useless because they only tell you if price has been choppy, not if it's going to continue to be choppy in the future.

    Making Bollinger Band fading profitable

How long until someone looks at that chart and sees that if you were to add a second contract after 1.5 point drawdown and move the breakeven to another point away you'd have more winners than losers? Of course your losers would be much bigger than. How often is this all going to happen...

    Making Bollinger Band fading profitable

Most people see Bollinger Bands as a way to trade counter trend and make money, and this tends to lead to averaging down, and doing this on an intraday basis can lead to blowing your account. What if you were to apply rules to keep yourself from blowing your account. For example: 2.5 SD...

A profitable journal with all entries/exits posted in advance

Would sell ITM calls if there was more time premium built in. They seem undervalued. A $60 May call would bring in about $1,070 but if price fell to $60 I would give up $1,080 so they're not a good deal. Why isn't there more time premium in QLD options? The ones near the money are decent...

Beginner Q: Buying Call = Selling Put? Misc Q's...

The phrase "option sellers" usually refers to people who write options, not people who sell an option they previously purchased. If I buy a call option and then decide I don't want it later so I sell it, I wouldn't say I'm an "option seller." I mean technically I did just sell an option, but...

Predicting gold and silver prices with trendlines and S/R!

Silver dropped quite a bit this morning and bounced off this trendline! Gold might bounce off a previous R line. It hasn't fallen as much as silver today:
