Ever reversed your buy and sell signals?

Not really. But every mechanical system I've tested that was unprofitable, when I reversed the buy and sell signals, it was still unprofitable. I don't understand. Buy @ $100, sell @ $95. Reverse that and it should pretty obviously be profitable. I'm not even talking about intraday...

Ever reversed your buy and sell signals?

Where can I get that rate? 1/2 cent per 100 shares? So if I buy like 700 shares of SPY it would cost me 3.5 cents?

Let's have a quick little discussion about orderflow and DOM

Predicted responses: - "DOM can be used. I can use it. You can't cuz you're dumb." - "DOM can be used. I'll teach you how for money" (this will likely be a PM) - "Just because YOU can't figure it out doesn't mean it's not possible. This is why you fail, you've got a loser's mindset...

Let's have a quick little discussion about orderflow and DOM

Alright, back in the day when I was trying to learn how to trade, I spent lots of time watching the DOM display. I read so much info about it, gurus on ET claiming that it's "all they need" and they "don't even need to look at the charts" (lol, don't Woodie's followers say the same thing?)...

Ever reversed your buy and sell signals?

Not really in long timeframes. How badly are you trading that $14 is the cutoff between profitability and unprofitability? Are you trading super small lot sizes or something? Or are your target profits microscopic? Even if you only had $1,000 to invest in SPY (round it up to $130 per...

Ever reversed your buy and sell signals?

Spread and commission are almost irrelevant on larger time frames. In other words, if you're scalping, it's a big deal. But if you're swing trading and the reason you are losing money is because of comissions, then you're doing it wrong. In other words, even Scottrade has only $7...

Anyone trading with a profit objective of $100 A WEEK?

There's no reason to trade the ES if your target profit is $100/week. The only way you'll get that in the ES is if you can scalp accurately and profitably (cuz that's like 2 points on one contract) or if you have like a 51% win average and your balance at the end of the week is +$100...

"The only way to trade with Fibonaccis" journal

btw if you guys want to use this method on a long term play, you should be in at the second level in SPY right now. That being said, this puts you at a stop loss of 117. Personally I wouldn't close out my position there, but if you want to you could.

Wow, there's a lot of stuff going on in that chart. If that helps you trade profitably then more power to you :D

Holy crap, 500+ pages of fib voodoo? Why did you move on to other methods? Was it not profitable?

LOOK AT THIS CHART - all you predicting mofos, what will SPY do next?

Most immediate trend (since ET loves to talk about trends yet no one can tell exactly what defines a trend) or some large spike (up or down) even if it's followed by chopping for a while. Either of those situations are what we are predicting in this thread.

LOOK AT THIS CHART - all you predicting mofos, what will SPY do next?

wait are you talking about that guy who posted on here a few years back who would show "tomorrow's chart today" or whatever for the ES? He was scary accurate sometimes. And sometimes way off.
